Not quite:

This, she was a slightly above replacement level hack being carried by the franchise. She cannot, in any way, carry a franchise, and Andrew Lack is a stupid human for beleiving she could. She's probably paid 5x what Maddow makes. Just stunning ineptitue. Also, please fire Joe Scarboro. Just give Morning Joe to Nicole Wallace and, ugh, even Willie Geist if necessary. Mika was fine, but she belongs to another era.

Lack hiring Kelly also led to Tamron Hall leaving and she was unarguably more popular than Kelly has ever been (on NBC anyway).

Same.

The incognito window thing used to work for sites with a paywall but that's changed recently.

Yeah it could have been a blocker. I tried it just now. I couldn't see the article either until I allowed "asset.wsj.net" (5 scripts) and "fastlane.rubiconproject.com" (6 XHR's). If you guys are using lists (EasyList etc) to do your blocking (e.g. with uBo), then I'm surprised those elements are on the list. I don't use any lists so I wouldn't know.

Same. Incognito doesn't work for me. Other tips appreciated.

But I really don't give two ****s what a sleazebag Tucker Carlson reg like Glenn ****ing Greenwald thinks about her (or anyone/anything else for that matter). Maybe when he writes a similar piece on, I don't know, Tucker Carlson, then I might consider his views on the topic somewhat relevant. Just lol @ anyone who even cites him ever for anything at this point.
This. Lol at anyone citing Greenwald as some objective impartial observer.

Why waste ink preaching to the choir* about every right-wing sleazeball on TV? Just so he can prove his objectivity? Do you really think there's any chance he has a high opinion of Carlson or FNC in general?

*or trying to convert hopeless FNC viewers, who are the only people who don't already know the things Greenwald would write about Carlson if he were to write about him.

But anyway if you respond I'll let you have the last word because this topic would be a derail.

You're not using a blocker? If you are, I suspect that's the culprit. If not, then I suppose some things need to be blocked for it to work (ETA: and I'll tell you which elements mine is blocking).

he's clearly not objective or impartial, which is fine.

why are you guys bitching about Greenwald because he wrote a story on this? he didn't do any investigative work on it, it's just an outline of what the situation is, making the same points a dozen other people have. sorry you don't like him, you don't have to throw a **** fit at the mention of his name though.

When failure makes you tens of millions of dollars is it really failure?

Greenwald was also tweeting the same day about how great and principled Ron Paul is and how Democrats who call him out for profiting off racist newsletters and then lying about it don’t really care about racism. Practically Trump levels of self own age he somehow is too dumb to see . Just not worth taking seriously ever.

Yeah it's fair to assume that any crying done is done all the way to the bank, and she'd absolutely land another gig if they ran her off though I doubt it would be as lucrative. The flip side to that coin, though, might be: When you have that much $$$ isn't rep more important? Not many network TV actors like getting canceled even though they probably don't *need* the money.

Hey bro you are the one who brought Greenwald into the conversation so go ahead and **** right off with this garbage. If his opinion on this topic is worthless, as you seem to be implying here, then maybe don't bring it/him into it.

As Kafja has noted, there's not really any other article one could link to to read about this story unless you want to visit The Daily Caller or something

A quick google search just of her name yielded several articles, NY Mag, The Hill and Politico right at the top (for me, anyway).

CNN, Slate, the Times and WaPo all have articles on the first page as well.

GG continuing to get the haters mad

I just don't get the Joy Reid tact of "I was hacked, I didn't say that".

Attitudes toward homosexuality have changed a ton in the last 15 years. I know mine have. Just do a long blog post or a TV half hour special about how your personal attitudes have changed, apologize for the harsh language you used in the past, and everybody would move on after a week or so.

It's so incredibly dumb to try the "I was hacked" defense when it's so obviously a lie.

Oh, cool, it's good people are starting to cover it. I remember looking yesterday and I couldn't find anything (it looks like all these new stories are from today).

Yeah, it doesn't really make any sense. The homophobia in her blog has been known for a while now, she owned it and apologized, unlocked the Forgiveness achievement, stayed employed...why take this tack now?

Well the original story has been out there since December, at least. I read it on Salon's site before Christmas. I guess the "I WAS TEH HAXXORED" stuff is recent, though.

I think the "I was teh haxxored" stuff is in response to a newer, more offensive set of blog entries (that were just found) than the ones from December, which is why it has new life. In December she was just like "yeah I wrote that, whoops, sorry".

And even that is just false, Paul obv lied a ton about the newsletters once they became bad for his career. Unclear if Greenwald is lying or just bad at journalism.
