Lol what she does for a living doesn’t take any intelligence. What are you talking about? You think being a blabbering idiot on tv takes intelligence?

Have you ever appeared on TV?

Do you have any idea what goes into her job?

What's your background to make your assessment?

Thinking Maddow is smarter than her just because you happen to agree with what she says is literally the nut low of critical thinking.

I am sure you don't agree with me. Which is fine. As you yourself pointed out, people generally lack self-awareness to know when they are being dumb. But one of us is right and one of us is wrong. And I am the only person using facts instead of solely relying on what I think to be true.
LOL

Are you being serious with this?

You keep saying this, and yet it's the same unsupported charge of hypocrisy that got preki in trouble before he decided to start launching personal attacks everywhere. Could it maybe have something to do with the fact that the modern Republican party doesn't actually have any coherent arguments and is just a grab bag of cultural resentment and racism?

Like, implicit in your argument ("you just don't think she's smart because she doesn't agree with you") is the idea that both sides are on equal intellectual footing with how they come up with the arguments they present to advocate for their side. LOL, Donald Trump is the president, that hasn't been true for awhile!

So your argument is that any Democrat is automatically smarter than any Republican, because all Republican ideas are stupid? Or am I misrepresenting your argument? Because that seems to be what you are saying.

My argument is that your claims are based on a faulty assumption of equality, and the faulty assumption that the only difference between the things Maddow says vs. the things Ingraham says is which side they advocate for.

So you are saying the topics that Maddow raises on her show, which are largely based on liberal ideology, make her smart, while the topics discussed by Ingraham on her show, which are largely based on conservative ideology, make her dumb.

Is that what you are saying?

Uhhhh no. Man it's pathetic to watch you repeatedly attempt (and fail) to twist words into something you can attack. I've told you repeatedly what I'm saying: that your accusations about why someone thinks Maddow is smart and Ingraham isn't are baseless and backed by an incorrect premise.

Also, I’ve never seen Maddow give a Nazi salute on stage at the DNC.

So you are saying jsb is only wrong because he likes Ingraham?
03-13-2018 , 05:21 PM
Anybody who espouses the views of ingrham is either stupid or smart enough to espouse those views for a paycheck. Maddow is either smart for holding those views or smart for espousing those views for a paycheck.

I don't like Ingraham. I think she is wrong about almost everything she says.

But I don't think she's dumb. She is highly educated and successful at what she does. I guess I don't see the link between a person's political beliefs and their intelligence.

Ingraham is able to articulate her positions to her audience, which is why she is successful. That takes a certain amount of intelligence. I may not agree with what she says, but I am not going to hold myself up as being smarter than her just because I have different views on immigration or defense spending.

there are thousands of preachers around this country with zero education who are way better communicators than laura ingraham

Someone who is wrong about everything they say is not dumb? I think I have identified JSB’S problem.

So you are saying that being a nazi is not dumb?

What the hell is on Steve Kornackey's hand?
03-14-2018 , 07:07 PM
chris matthews straight up heckles republicans daily on his show. to open the show today they just showed a clip of paul ryan making some statement and it cuts to matthews he says, "toadie", and goes on to his monologue. rachel maddow would never even do that, that's not her style, but people hate rachel 10,000 times more because of her "politics"

hmm good question. initially christie was viewed as too corrupt to serve in the white house, but after so much blatant corruption by members of trump's own cabinet the whole bridgegate thing barely registers as a real scandal to them
