Official MSNBC/Fox/CNN/cable news containment thread Official MSNBC/Fox/CNN/cable news containment thread

05-10-2011 , 06:44 PM
In an interview with former rep. Tom Tancredo, msnbc host asks, "Would have preferred the death of President Obama as opposed to bin Laden?" And does it with a straight face thinking it is a perfectly reasonable question.

To Bashir's benefit.... he didn't follow up with "When did you stop beating your wife?"

MSM journalism at its finest itt. The real fun starts at the 2:50 mark:

Is this a fair , probing, journalistic question?

Should this be in the low content thread?

If the biases of a mainstream talking head are apolitical, certainly move it or delete or sweep it under the rug with my blessings.

It is a pretty amazing question for a talking head on a major news outlet to make, no?.

Lol, what do you expect when American stations give jobs to British journalists when they lose all credibility over here and are left with zero chance to get a job because people woke up to the fact their are talentless hacks?

See also Pierce Morgan.

Yeah, I was like "woooow Martin Bashir!". Didn't he **** over Michael Jackson in some way?

If you don't like seeing dumb stuff on mainstream news channels, don't watch mainstream news channels. The BBC seems pretty solid but the rest... not so much.

Yeah, it was an interview with wacko jacko that basically ended his career here. IIRC the documentary was just a bunch of sensationalism and they heavily edited the footage to make wacko seem even more wacko that he was, which was basically proven when Jackson used the rest of the footage (iirc part of the contract was MJ got a copy of all of their taped footage) and so he released his own version which was much more balanced showing scenes with Bashir acting all chummy with MJ whilst also planning to stab him in the back making him look (more) like a paedophile.

to answer the question, it is not a question that should be asked on a serious news network show. then again, tancredo isn't a guest that should be on any serious news network show.

lol, Stewart owned Hannity so hard tonight, will try to remember to link the video tomorrow when it's on the internets

Cliffs: Hannity + Fox News makes a big deal out of Common (the rapper) being invited to a poetry reading or something at the White House and they claim his songs advocate violence against cops and/or President Bush and thus the WH shouldn't associate with him, standard hypocrisy lols ensue

Piers Morgan show is absolute garbage. I've seen it a few times. Trying to figure out what is newsworthy about Rob Lowe. Shouldn't this be on E!? And I swear right after Anderson Cooper would be doing something at least moderately interesting on, say, Libya, Piers would follow with much more important coverage like speculation about Kate Middleton's dress two weeks prior to the wedding. Hard hittin journalism, prime time baby.

The best part of the bit was the line about how long it took to find the tape, less than the time to play it.
05-12-2011 , 08:08 PM
Holy crap that is phenomenal.
05-12-2011 , 08:09 PM
Not sure if it was in those clips but Steward if you are reading this, please don't ever rap again.
05-12-2011 , 08:12 PM
The rap was so bad it was good.
05-12-2011 , 08:20 PM
So was the rap not actually aired or did they actually not bleep "mother****in" on Comedy Network?

I think when they put it online they don't censor it.

Is this thread a catch-all for bad talk radio too? Because I was late coming home from softball the other night and I caught some of what I'm only guessing is called The Alan Combs Abortion. It's like all those years next to Hannity and he caught Sean's verbal STD that causes the victim to interrupt any other person talking with short flippant ******ed quips. Seriously, now my ears have AIDS.

Stewart to be on O'Reilly Monday, talking about Common being at the WH, should be awesome as usual
05-14-2011 , 12:10 PM
That means O'Reilly is going on Steward soon right?
