Let's see if this works.

Should this include Comedy Channel? I have no idea.

Good job Wynton. I nominate DVaut1 to monitor FoxNews documenting it's most blatant lies and Nick to do the same for MSNBC.

Excellent ideas. At the end of the month, we can run a "lie-off" contest.

has it been six months already? These always begin grand, then after a couple hundred posts the wheels come off the wagon. And away we go!

I didn't realize we did one of these threads before. Doesn't really matter, though. If we can contain things for a few weeks, it's worth it, imo.

Meanwhile, allow me to make one point that will sure to be controversial: Rachel Maddow, I submit, is one of the best interviewers on television today.

For the record, I do not like Olbermann. And I don't like a good portion of Maddow's show, i.e., the parts where she tries to be funny and gets preachy (which probably make up most of her show). But her interviewing skills really are quite good, particularly when the guest is someone with a different viewpoint. She is persistent, but never rude. And she asks much more substantive questions than people like David Gregory.

I do not like Hannity. He is not smart enough to represent people like me

Agree with you on Maddow. She is extremely proud of her Progressive Liberal status, if she matures a bit towards the middle she could be one of the best in the business for political analysis while she interviews.

I tend to flip channels between the networks, the button usually gets pushed when they start to head for the deep water. Sunday morning works well on the west coast, Meet the Press is on basic cable at 6am while FoxNews Sunday is on 84, same time. Usually watch them with coffee down in the rec room, 3 screens for game days.

Can anyone who actually watches Fox rank the quality of the broadcasters there?

I don't see enough to have an opinion.

I like Bret Baier. He's probably a hack but not nearly to the level of most of them. Occasionally he runs out a good panel too, like AB Stoddard and Krauthammer last night.

Tuesday, August 24
Starbucks and Kind bars.

For lunch, I had a tomato-and-mozzarella salad. We often go for the weekend up to Lancaster County in Pennsylvania, and we get wonderful tomatoes and other fresh produce and bring it home with us.

Dinner was yogurt with granola and dried almonds. I was in a rush and I needed the protein, the good fat, and to feel full. I can get a good night's sleep with that.

Wednesday, August 25
Starbucks and Kind bars.

Lunch was a Whole Foods carrot-veggie smoothie that I got from their food court downstairs. I had a banana and some Fage Greek yogurt — it's my favorite; it's amazing. I love it.

I had dinner at Macelleria; it's an incredible restaurant. I had tomato soup, tomato-basil salad, bread, and a half-glass of red wine. I love tomatoes, and they're so good for you.

Nick, how many blatant lies do you know of MSNBC spreading to their viewership? Just in the last week we had Fox telling everyone that Obama was spending $200mil/day on his trip to India. Last example of MSNBC doing something like that?
So I thought about this and here are some

Maddow: GOP Congressman Had Foreknowledge of Oklahoma City Bombing

Next couple are not lies but lolz

MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan Preaches Violent Revolution.

Schultz: Let’s pass a “decency law” to regulate speech

lol Schultz
