I often wonder if the idiots that spout that nonsense have ever worked for private business.

I mean I guess it's obvious they know it's a lie. Similar to how they do their own taxes but tell anyone that will listen that they're getting taken for 50%, even though their effective rate is like 12-14% or something like that depending on how much they managed to stash in savings pre-tax along with other loopholes.

I'm pretty sure every Network has a rbg death graphic made up and every major news outlet has her obituary written. Along with the obituary of every famous/important person who could conceivably die any day.

They almost certainly have one for Breyer also.

Good ole #MorningJoe airing more Judicial Crisis Network ads today.

Can you imagine Fox airing 'Need to Impeach' ads during Fox & Fiends?

A few Covington kids were on Fox today and say the black face was no big deal. It’s just school spirit.

lol, that's a nice self-own. *whoosh* goes the defense I've seen from some on the right about the blackface video being from years ago, if kids today are defending it.
01-23-2019 , 04:11 PM
For me as a non-American the very concept of "school spirit" is baffling. Anyway, if blackface is a representation of school spirit that must be one racist ass school.
01-23-2019 , 04:16 PM
what's next, water is wet?
01-23-2019 , 04:16 PM
Yeah it’s not even like these kids admit that maybe blackface shouldn’t be done. They want to because “school spirit”. Calling these kids innocent is such bs.

That was pretty good - thanks for posting - but you're going to have to help me out as to why anyone would think they're either of the two optiions you gave?

Right now on MSNBC Ari Melber showed his green room (or lobby/whatever) and his four guests sitting there laughing it up and talking were Jerome Corsi, Carter Page, Sam Nunberg and some other crooked talking head who met Russians (can't remember his name). How much of a disaster will this be? I hope Rudy's music starts playing a few minutes in.

lol John Bolton linked to Maria Butina and the NRA's adventures in Russia.

Without Fox News, Republicans Would Be Toast
Given the position-related changes in Fox News viewership, this implies that every additional minute per week of average viewership in a zip code produced about a 0.15 percentage points increase in the Republican presidential vote share in that zip code.

...

They also estimate the effect of our leading liberal news channel: “The corresponding effect of watching MSNBC for 2.5 additional minutes per week is an imprecise zero.”

It's only because athletics are (at the secondary school level) for some unknown reason embedded in schools instead of run as completely separate clubs for some reason.

I wonder if that makes Americans more prone or susceptible to tribal thinking.

Eh, it's not like Europeans aren't also susceptible to tribalism when it comes to their local football club.

It's probably putting the horse before the cart to say that sports lead to tribalism, it's more like sports is one of the few surviving outlets for our tribal instincts now that xenophobia and organized religion are coming out of fashion.
