Is Kenney worse than Ford?
04-17-2019 , 01:05 PM
Saw a stat that 29 out of the 37 million Canadians now live in provinces with conservative premiers.

He’ll be worse on LGBTQ rights for sure, probably less bad on cities given that he doesn’t carry a grudge like Ford’s against Toronto, and not nearly as likely to have every other announcement be about how you can drink more. Otherwise, they seem the same. There’ll be the usual deep cuts to education and health, deregulation and other giveaways to big business, and zero action on climate.

is the CAQ considered conservative? because we have an actual conservative party in québec (Parti conservateur du Québec) but they only got 1.46% (0 seats) at the last election

it's not even clear that CAQ is more right wing than the PLQ (liberals) here.

No, they absolutely would not. Not saying they’d be worse, but certainly no better.

Is Scheer an immigrant-hating populist white supremacist too? I thought that was more Bernier's wheelhouse.

eta: I guess so

Yeah I am wrong they are basically the same thing .

Sounds like the CPC are falling in the polls..are pretty close to being neck and neck with the Liberals.

Give it a couple more months and I'd expect the Liberals to be ahead again... Then come actual campaign time I don't think Scheer has a chance against Trudeau there.

The Cons need a real scandal by the Liberals and not a fake news one

Good result in Alberta. Now just need it out East!

Another win for conservatives provincially in PEI today. October is going to be interesting. I like Bernier more than Scheer but will be a tough decision when it comes time to actually vote.
04-24-2019 , 12:07 AM
Yeah they are both pretty great!

Pretty tough to choose between subtle white nationalism and overt white nationalism from a guy who can't even use his own Twitter account.

All the liberals know how to do is run up debt and buy votes with massive government subsidies to favoured special interest groups. The liberal party is corrupt to its very core.

Are you just pretending everything to happen in Ontario recently and under Harper never happened?

I thought that was Harper and Mulroney..

Never forget the classic joke "The Conservatives spend what the Liberals make"
04-24-2019 , 07:35 PM
uh no. That's in the US. Harper spent far less relatively than Chretien, Martin, and especially Trudeau

What, like the runaway spending of McGuinty and Wynne turning Ontario into the world's largest sub sovereign debtor?
