Could be the Kav situation made things too radioactive for her to handle. She wants a post-Trump political career.

This is some super ****ty reporting that is incredibly unhelpful in telling us what exactly Musk is paying for. Based on the past 6 months of Muskiness, I will remain very skeptical. Keeed however will continue to slobber the knobs of people like Musk and Greenwald and stubbornly refuse to update his opinion with new information.
I dunno, the reporting seems pretty decent from a 5 Ws perspective:

WHAT: "water purification systems"
WHO: Elon Musk and the district
WHEN: by January 2019
WHERE: Flint
WHY: " to allow students to drink from and fill up water bottles from school water fountains."
HOW: UV water purification method

I agree it doesn't provide a lot of ammo for Musk water filter trutherism (UV CAN'T MELT LEAD WAKE UP SHEEPLE), but that's not necessarily the reporter's fault if, say, the correct water filters were selected.

Would it even count if she ends up getting a promotion?

Not much to add to this other than that you're also fairly proximal to wine country, which can be a nice occasional excursion, and that UCD is on the legit cutting edge of some areas of science, such as agricultural genomics, so there are a good number of really smart people around there. No idea what your field is, though.

People are saying this was planned a while ago and Ye will be named UN Ambassador soon hence the lunch with Trump

No way Ye is taking a pay cut that massive.

My wife's field is plant science (development genetics to be exact). It's defiantly a good school for that. We're at UNC at the moment, which I guess is the good part of NC but I just dislike almost everything here.

Hopefully we can pull off the transfer without getting deported or something.

I'm really happy for you and Imma let you finish, but my honorable colleague the representative from Cameroon offered the greatest amendment to the resolution of all time! OF ALL TIME!

lukewarm take: nikki haley wrote that op-ed and is getting out now that nobody is talking about it anymore

**** my country, but that seems like pretty dumb phrasing. You'll get locked up for using your 2nd amendment rights too. They aren't universal.

Trumps just going to get jealous that he can't lock people up for a week on the suspicion that they are going to do some legal protesting.

I haven't read the american reports, but the story is worse than that from what I've read. She's a student that was suppose to start at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She had a student visa from the Israeli council in Florida. They are detaining her for her so-called involvement in BDS.

Not only that, but left-wing parliament members weren't allowed to visit her.

After a two-hour delay and the attempted intervention of the Knesset's legal advisor, Minister Deri announced that he would approve the MKs entry on the condition they send a written request.

However, despite having sent the request, the MKs were denied entry to the prison facility.

If Linzie becomes AG, then he takes over the Mueller investigation and can just give all the info directly to Trump, right? That's why they don't need to fire Rosenstein, they can just usurp him.

Second this, although I'd add that Sacramento is improving for culture rapidly. Lots more restaurants, nightlife, and events in the last 8 years or so.

Also, an easy drive to get to Tahoe as well as the mentioned wine country and SF.

This is terrifying.

There is an entirely plausible scenario where:

1. GOP holds Congress
2. Sessions replaced as AG
3. Mueller fired
4. Democracy over

Anyone has any experience/knowledge about Davis? How bad is it going to be?
I haven't spent a ton of time in Davis, but it seemed pretty cool. My wife's cousin graduated there (PhD I think) and we visited him and his wife there a couple times. Not a ****hole at all. Too hot for me, but otherwise a nice town.

Seems pretty cool, but they do alter them quite a bit eliminating the design problem of rooms being too narrow. And they have plenty of windows.
