at least in my book libertarian / ac / whatever people would call a spade a spade.
republicans and democrats this day in age are basically the same, look up 'left/right paradigm' sometime. Libertarians/ACists basically want government to GTFO of our daily lives, that group cares not which puppet is put on the throne, unless that person has to be Ron Paul or someone who just wants a Constitutional Republic. Nothing against modern dem/rep people, but they just tolerate too many things that go against the principles that this country was founded on. For example, if people were smarter, we could easily be living in a country with no foreign wars, no income tax (o noes!), but for whatever reason we are distracted idol worshippers.

I have to object to this one just on a wtf level........ how is a baseball feild even an expense??? if soldier feild cost even $20 that is over what any reasonable budget should have been

Also, most federal agencies come under budget on their operational expenses. After all, they are statutorily limited on those.
I thought we were talking about projects .. but as for this, they just make another agency, hire things out etc.

we are calling a spade a spade. even republicans don't hate on obama nearly as much as libertarians do since we would hate everything he was doing even if he wasn't a democrat.

no offense man but i think you need to educate yourself on the positions of your opponents or find another forum/other threads to post on. im sorry if you don't get what many of us are about here, and therefore insist on making everything about republicans vs. democrats, but that just makes life hard for everyone.

LOL @ people who put their kids out next to the driveway for the government to pick up and "teach" complaining about indoctrination.

Wow the people that held their kids outta school must feel like straight clowns...

They play politics with their kids and claim its being "American"... I hope none of their children actually needed a little inspiration...Which obviously their lame ass parents are not providing...

If it inspires them to not trust the government, good job.

Theoretically, the idea is that building a new stadium will create jobs, revitalize neighborhoods, etc and that the higher tax revenue will offset the costs of building.

That has been basically debunked over and over again, especially looking at any time frame 3+ years out, but that's the idea. Of course, if it were going to be profitable, somebody would just do it privately and make all the monies.

Anyway, this is a threadjack, so back to the indoctrinations. My wife emailed me, said the speech was tame and boring, and they are back to business as usual after not doing any of the accompanying lesson plans.

Are you not aware of the multiplier effect? If you build a billionaire a stadium, the rest of the city benefits from people spending money, thus paying for itself.

Wow that's obviously false. For an obvious example go check-out Fed Ex Field

Ok, the speech is over, and this thread is full of trolling and other fail, so I'm locking it. If people want to discuss what was actually said we can start another thread.
