There's also Olivia Wilde's mom neck and neck to flip VA-5, and what should be a D flip in VA-10 (538 thinks 90% chance Dems do it).

How early do you have to leave work to get to Croatia?

Somehow he's managed to retcon this production as being the most right (least wrong) about 2016. Sure Nate is overall great and still a very valuable resource, but he certainly hasn't chosen to eat the massive piece of humble pie that's been sitting in front of him.
He's admitted to that mistake like a million times. And he absolutely was the most right in the 2016 general. I don't think he or anybody else has claimed he was right about the primary.

That Robinson article is terrible. He clearly has no clue about statistics, and doesn't understand the nuances at all.

I was wondering why she was posting a bunch of stuff on Instagram about canvassing in Virginia.

I guess Cockburn isn't the most convenient name if you're trying to be a famous actress.

btw, for "tabs to have open while sweating election night", Chapo mentioned they'll have a Twitch stream (not the one that Felix usually plays Fortnite on) and will likely be on drugs

I want to like Chapo, they’re right about most everything, but they are just too damn arrogant and smug for my taste.

Yeah same here. I usually watch CNN or one of the networks.

Chapo episodes are hit or miss. When they're great episodes, I love them. Their reading series episodes are golden. But what annoys me is that they try way too hard to be edgelords. They'll form negative opinions on anything other people like and **** all over it (Bojack Horseman being their most recent example). It's as though they're trolling their audience via podcast. PSA might not be as entertaining but they offer some hope by providing outlets to enact change. Chapo's nihilistic approach isn't particularly pleasant.

That said, I'm totally watching that stream. Win or lose, there will be many lolz.

They **** on Bojack Horseman? DEAD TO ME

I think the edgelord stuff misses a little bit with them because they are pragmatic: you'll never catch them pulling a "these choices suck so bad, I'm sitting this election out because I'm smarter than you sheeple", they might have their issues with the Dems but they're not going to pretend that the threat of Trump is something to **** around with.

Now, despite not loving them and hating their extreme arrogance, I don't think I've laughed harder in the last few years than when they spent like 40 minutes reading Megan McCain's book and ****ting on her.

Although their reading episodes are great, their 'hot couch guy' episode was the best one I've heard so far.

Was awesome to watch them begin by saying they'll be talking about serious things and then spend 90 minutes talking about how everybody knows a guy on a hot couch who falls asleep while DVD menu music is playing.

I mean, them making fun of Bojack was more making fun of virgil for liking it when the rest had never seen it.

Oh God. One of the most anodyne, repulsive people they've ever done a reading of.

The best reading series is probably still episode #3, the Ross Douthat one. I haven't listened to half the episodes, but I doubt anything is going to beat it.

I worked as a poll watcher for the GOP in... 1994? It was a midterm, in any case, and I went to some rando candiate's event afterwards. I have basically zero memory of the event other than meeting Michael Ramirez, who was the political cartoonist for the (Memphis) commercial appeal at that time.

I was at the Ohio campaign HQ for Obama in 08 after volunteering all day. It was fun, obviously.

“We are very mindful of the response that our announcement about recognising people who have served in defence has had today, and it was a gesture genuinely done to pay respects to those who have served our country,” Virgin Australia Group chief executive John Borghetti said yesterday.

“Over the coming months, we will be working consultatively with community groups and our own team members who have served in defence to determine the best way forward.

“If this consultative process determines that public acknowledgment of their service through optional priority boarding is not appropriate, then we will certainly be respectful of that.”

That statement represented a drastic backdown from Virgin’s original announcement.

I like a single thread idea because info will be coming like a firehose on house/senate/governors/propositions, will want to follow all at once.

That article about Tesla seems like literal fake news. Tesla isn't trying to save $1k by putting a bandaid on injured workers and telling them to suck it up.

Have you ever worked in a factory? What in the world are you basing this on? The idea that amputations get covered up in American factories is ludicrous.

Friends and family who have worked lines and inspected slaughterhouses. None of the **** in these reports about Tesla is remotely implausible for a normal company, to say nothing about the catgory 5 ****storm that is Tesla.
