Maybe that fire I went through was even a controlled burn. The big trees weren't on fire, just little ones and brush.
I saw a Happy Days recently that was basically just full on sexual assault.

Always been perplexed at the name Tawny. Is there a Brawny? I know that's a paper towel.

edit: Looks like Brawny would go well with Tawny?

Tawny: of a dark yellowish or dull yellowish-brown color.

Last edited by forum ferret; 11-16-2018 at 02:56 AM. Reason: how do people name their kids after a dull yellowish-brown color???

Something to get the right frothing at the mouth:

Expensive designer coats ban at Merseyside school

A school in Merseyside has banned pupils from wearing expensive designer coats in a bid to stop "poverty-shaming" among its students.

In a letter to parents, Woodchurch High School in Birkenhead said pupils would not be allowed to wear branded coats such as Moncler, Pyrenex and Canada Goose.

Head teacher Rebekah Phillips said pupils and parents supported the move.

However, some people on Twitter have called the ban "absolutely ridiculous".

The labels banned by the school include children's sizes which sell for between £400 and £1,000.

The ban will be introduced after the Christmas holidays.

We should not discount the fact that AOC is attractive and young which is going to manifest itself in extremely strange ways among the horny deplorable shut ins now empowered across the right. They have a playbook for post-menopausal old women like HRC and Elizabeth Warren and Pelosi but I think we're also seeing a manifestation of the fact these people kind of don't know what to do with someone they see as a valuable sex object. They had the same sort of trouble when Trump couldn't ever defeat Megyn Kelly, tons of these horny sex pests on the right will utterly melt down when they have to make enemies of the things they desire. I'm not saying it won't be full on deplorableness but prepare yourself for some weird **** emerging from these peoples' collective lizard brains.

Oh man do I feel sorry for the prosecutor who cut/pasted and ****ed that up. Somebody is going to lose their job over that one.

Similar things are the primary source of bugs in code I write, I'd say.

It needed a peer review.

That person might be lucky in that firing someone would acknowledge this is real, but not taking any action doesn't confirm it.

It's hard to feel too sorry for them. Like, Ctrl+F? If it was some kind of oblique reference that indicated who it was but wasn't his actual name, it's more of an understandable error.

This 2 star Rolling Stone review of Janes Addiction's “Ritual de lo Habitual” (1990) may be the single worst album review I've ever read.

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/m...bitual-252524/

Quote:
Side 2’s miasma begins with “Three Days,” which starts out as fine, tempo-twisting bongload metal but loses it after Stephen Perkins’s great percussion solo. I haven’t been able to get through the rest of the side without nodding out — the dreaminess is pleasant enough, but I expected more. Unlike King’s X or Faith No More, Jane’s Addiction hasn’t figured out that a successful prog-metal fusion requires tightness. The great bits here — gypsy fiddles, “Aladdin Sane” piano flurries, strange lyrics about crickets’ bones and an erotic Jesus — are overwhelmed by meandering vocal melodies, orchestral keyboards and David Navarro’s rote guitar wanking. Two-thirds of the way through, Ritual de lo Habitual starts sounding like a fourteen-hour layover in Kashmir, a long-distance runaround with only Juggs magazine and a pack of purple Bubblicious to pass the time.

Of course no one reads legal documents, not even the lawyers who "write" them.

It's hard to say how awesome AOC is without being sexist and/or condescending. She's good, sweet and charming and I don't know exactly where in New York City this is, but it would make perfect sense if she were the Congressperson representing Sesame Street. Condescending as hell I know. I'm sorry.

If history is any precedent, things don't end well for her.

Let's hope that she has some real good security around when she gets a higher position.
