Man, this forum used to be nothing but 500-post wars about the morality of clothing made in Bangladesh.

Lol @ this. Because if a dude expressed that exact same opinion I'm sure the forum would have been all:

u guys missed the real story here, Gizmo just outed LK as a total mooch with zero marketable skills

Technically my scenario was being at a party and me stealing someone's keys from their coat.

You could've stopped at legalize. And while we're at it ditto for drugs. Once you take away the criminality you basically take away the black markets that prey upon the vulnerable and make it less dangerous for all.

I'd be fine with some regulation. But once you go full blown, the system becomes even more corrupt from the "supposed" legal side.

I believe that the experiences of GermanY, Netherlands and other countries with legal prostitution have called that into question. Isnt trafficking still a yuuge problem there (due to supply and demand ldo)?

Immigration laws play a huge part (at least in the US).

I don't think treating prostitutes who are under 18 as victims rather than criminals is a liberal denial of reality.

Wheel, giving you the benefit of doubt that you aren't looking to have sex with 16 year olds, you should look at the reality of something like 100,000 children forced into prostitution a year in the US and how they're with a bunch of dirty old men and it's not 18 year olds with 17 year olds as the big picture, and the ducks on planes (or the 17 year old charged as a sex criminal for having a naked picture of himself on his phone) are events so rare that they make the news.
Since this thread is totally derailed I will give a few more comments.

I appreciate the thoughtful response microbet. You seem very sincere. But here is the thing, the overwhelming majority of women who go into prostitution including those who are under 18 are not forced, they do it for money. To say they are statutory victims who are forced against their will is patronizingly insulting to women and those less than 18.

This is the same patronizing attitude that liberals have taken towards black people, we are easily influenced, unintelligent and need laws to regulate our conduct. In fact if you did away with illegal employment of aliens and incentives to have out of wedlock births, the minority of black people who are still in poverty would be out of it in two generations.

isnt that three generations?
11-01-2016 , 04:13 AM
wheel Gunner is going hard in the paint for the just world hypothesis
11-01-2016 , 04:30 AM
i mean, we could excoriate him about the "incentives to have children out of wedlock" nonsense, but whats the point?

Black teen births are the lowest in a life time under a Democratic president, and they've been falling for 20 years.

also what's the deal with the bootstrap theory of chattle ancestry. you missed a few steps in the picker/teacher/doctor story. like, the show Roots was about survival, not the American Dream.

This is correct. Falling across all races which is nice to see. My (completely unfounded) theory is that widespread and constant use of social media is responsible for the decreasing birthrates among teenagers.
11-01-2016 , 08:47 AM
There's more sex education and better birth control methods like IUDs are becoming more popular as well.

The overwhelming majority are victims of childhood rape, usually by family members. Non-victimized girls/women don't go from having a normal life to joining the sex business. And I suppose for many of the women, drug addiction plays a role too.

I could say it's insulting to blacks and women to lump them in with children. At some age we should patronize children. I don't know if 18 is the perfect cutoff, but it's close. I have a 14 yo kid and a 17 yo and although they are intelligent, without guidance they would both be quite vulnerable to adults without scruples.

If prostitution were legal, I would definitely put the age at more like 21. Porn too.

Though I'll admit my bias here. Having a 17yo daughter it's pretty hard for me to be ok with BARELY LEGAL teen porn.

He's said that he's black in previous posts. It's possible he's only black on the internet, but it's also possible there's a real black person on 2p2.
