Then they're not doing their job. In the UK you have to account for every round fired. (With the army in Northern Ireland in the early Seventies, when there were quite considerable street battles, this led to the phenomenon of 'buckshee ammo' -- you kept some unofficial ammo so you could top up your magazine to suggest that you'd only fired as many rounds as you were prepared to admit to. Things got tighter after that.)

God damnit FBI, stop f*cking things up

Quote:
Last week, Deschutes County Sheriff Shane Nelson, who is overseeing the investigation, said he had concluded that “FBI HRT operators fired two shots as Mr. Finicum exited the truck, and one shot hit the truck.” Nelson accused the agents of failing to “disclose their shots to our investigators.”

The five FBI agents have denied firing assault rifles during the incident. But in a recently released interview, an Oregon State Police officer told investigators that he spotted two copper-colored rifle casings near the spot where the FBI agents were standing. The Hostage Rescue Team has used copper- *colored casings, former agents said; the Oregon state police use only silver-colored casings. The copper casings were never recovered.

Meanwhile, the Portland Oregonian reported Tuesday that FBI surveillance video taken after the shooting shows the agents searching the area with flashlights and huddling. One of them then bends over twice and appears to be picking up something.

On Wednesday, a law enforcement official confirmed the video account. If allegations of a coverup are determined to be true, the incident would be hugely embarrassing to the FBI and deal a devastating blow to the FBI team’s reputation.

Cleaning up: government estimates $6 million costs for clean-up, restoration, and employee relocation efforts at Malheur.

Naturally, defendant Shawna Cox (see earlier this page) is incredulous. From the article: “Everyone was out there fixing and cleaning,” she said by phone. “I can’t imagine them [damaging property]. They’re not that type of people.”

Photos on the guardian website unsurprisingly contradict Ms. Cox, showing large piles of garbage, disheveled offices, and a bashed-in wall as the destructive remains of the stand-off.

$6MM? Sounds like we might need a marginal one-time water rights fee on next years permits.

The pictures of the damage are incredible. These guys are absolute pigs.

Not that im against it or anything, but 6MM seems kinda lol based on those pictures

2mil for relocating employees
2.3 mil for the police
1.7 mil for repairs

Not sure why they're paying the police that much though.
03-25-2016 , 07:03 PM
Does the police include the FBI?

Looks like some bros ****ing up their hotel room on spring break- which is basically what it was save for the part where they ended up in jail/dead after their Revolution Fantasy Camp went wrong.

Cattle theft is a really big deal right now with beef prices being so high actually.

Ammon Bundy is laying out his legal strategy....and its exactly what you'd expect.

But yeah, these guys surely aren't lunatics and we really should give thought to the merits of their grievances.

I'm sure that will work out well for him.

Bundy buddies drew penises on ancient petroglyphs. http://wonkette.com/601019/bundy-bud...can-get-behind

He's now sitting in Federal prison with Bundy and the other "patriots."
His wife is one of our state representatives here in NH.

Is anyone watching the Town Hall? I don't understand what the hell Hillary is doing. She (sadly) is not going to lose the primary. Instead of trying to make peace with Bernie supporters, she is pushing them further away. I don't get it.

I'm not watching the town hall but I suppose she needs to play to the center for the general.

I also misread "Hilarity" as "Hillary" in this thread title sometimes.

Wow, all these weirdos were just found not guilty. Then Bundy's lawyer got into a fight with the US Marshals and they allegedly tazed him in the court room.

No racism in the criminal justice system, everyone's solid.

The lawyer being tazed is at least good news.

So armed occupation and aiming armed weapons at federal officer is exercising your 1st amendment rights to protest

I mean, if you're a white, welfare-addicted hick who routinely steals from the government.

This is going to encourage a whole bunch of idiots to do a whole bunch of stupid things. Thanks, Oregon.
