Come on LG, It isn't his fault he is being called a racist. It is MLK's fault.

If MLK wasn't so lazy, he would've worked harder to prevent people in 2014 from being offended by racism. Real culture of dependence exhibited there.

Good for for a long shot Tea Party challenger, but positively stupid for someone angling for a WH run.

Why spend years being junior and respectable when you can be nuts and reckless and get lots of attention and maybe power right away. As you said, Rand Paul is a potential presidential candidate and his only real credential is being the son of a noted racist crazy person.
I don't think Ron Paul is racist or crazy and if you read his books they really are quite high quality compared to most hacks. During the debates Ron Paul was the only one on the stage facing reality Obamacare was going to happen (and he did not seem that upset about it). Ron Paul went into Iowa saying he wanted to end the ethanol subsidies and he almost won and probably did.

Bundy is living in a world that does not exist of unlimited land and opportunity.

I don't love David Brooks, but he argued earlier this month in the NYT that the evolution of campaign finance laws had defanged the parties, which is probably true to some extent. A defanged party is less able to exert control over its wayward members.

Brah, the 47% though. For the most part the poor are poor because taxes are too low. Your view has no basis in reality

Colbert's folk song tribute was hilarious. http://www.thewrap.com/stephen-colbe...n-bundy-video/

steelhouse thinks his tax rate is 90%, so good luck with that argument

I'd love to stop having racist thoughts and saying racist things, but that was MLK's job and well we already know how shiftless and lazy people like him are, so I'm not expecting any miracles any time soon.

Zombie MLK not doing his job imo

chiefsplanet is done with the rancher. Based on this scientific data point, I conclude there's about a 12 hour lag time from when Fox/Drudge/Rush turn off the spigot and their anger subsides on any particular issue.

I will keep monitoring to see how long it takes them to completely forget the entire incident. I'd guess 2 weeks.

Pretty sure he's put it at over 100% before.

late to the show, but Colbert is GOAT

I'm in the Daily Show Rancher thread on Chiefs Planet and its the only thread I've read at this time. So far, its not as bad as I was expecting. So far, most are agreeing that the Daily Show is funny. There's one idiot named Buck Eyed Pea whose seems no worse then a combo of silverman/bahbah.

Perhaps this thread is tamer then most?

Read the "Dems are the real racists!" Thread that Buckeyed Peas started.

But yeah, I don't know that anyone is worse than Silverman, it's just that on cp, there are a bunch of guys like Silverman who mutually reinforce each other. And the mod thinks it's funny to call Michelle Obama "Queesn Wookie"

If you mean the "The Racism of the Progressive Left" thread, I'm pretty sure he's making word for word arguments made by Silverman.

Its interesting that there is obviously some racist secret website or booklet since they all have the exact same thoughts on Planned Parenthood.

My favorite part of what I read is when someone pointed out that he was misquoting Sanger out of context, Buckeyedpea said he wasn't buying it and didnt buy it when Snopes indicated it was wrong. So he knowingly was printing information that has been dispelled in multiple sources but continues to promote it just because he chooses to believe otherwise.

At least he's upfront that he's arbitrarily deciding what's true.

BuckEyedPea is the steelhouse of CP except she posts 100x more. I have no idea why people engage her. She literally makes no sense. steelhouse seems like William F Buckley Jr. by comparison. She ruins every thread she participates in.

Like if one of the fed snipers shot someone, it would have been a ****storm about the government overreach and unnecessary use of force despite the fact that the militia had no real reason to be there in the first place (assuming that the obsession with snipers in this forum has some carry over into the consciousness of the general population of people who were engaged in this story). If one of the militia members shoots first, then it's just damage control and probably the worst possible outcome for the right because it makes them look like reckless gun nuts, even though showing up with assault rifles to defend some scofflaws cattle should be enough evidence.

This was a safe outcome for the right because they get to wash their hands of it (despite the fact that most of Bundys supporters probably won't be deterred by a little hate speech), but it did kind of negate any advantage they may have taken from it.
This isnt a Han or Greedo crowd. This is a civil war was the war of northern aggression crowd.

That the south shot first in the American civil terrorist insurgent war of terror doesnt matter to them and if the militia douchebags shot first then they were forced into it because yadda yadda.

You and Fly are correct that the right really hit a one outer being able to milk this for a short while but then seamlessly abandon him without needing to address that he was doing was LEGIT ****ING CRAZY!

Wasn't paying attention and assumed BuckEyedPea was a new Tom Collin's nickname.
