You think having a gun when someone is trying to rob you at gun point is a bad thing? You prefer to just hope that the robber is merciful? If he isn't at least you will have the moral victory that you weren't such a terrible person to have a gun.

My guess is, most robbers do not set out to murder anybody just to do so. Im guessing that they would only go to that point if the situation escalates, ie the person they are robbing pulling a gun

Really? So you believe that robbery only turns into murder if the victim has a gun? That is one of the most absurd statements I have read recently.

Way to take Most and turn it into Only. You would be the one dealing with absolutes there, not me.

Are you able to read? Robbery turns into murder some of the time, despite your "guess". Should you get in that situation, I hope your guess works out for you. Surely you cannot begrudge anyone else not wanting to stake their life on your guess?

Just your standard gun nut, you know he's a gun nut because he made the video below of himself when he was open-carrying. Weird twist of events in this story is that the girlfriend he killed is the daughter of the original responding officer in that video. I doubt access to guns and general gun nuttery was an issue in this case.

Holly Harrison was awake late Monday caring for her newborn daughter when she heard yelling coming from her neighbor’s house.

Minutes later, she said she became concerned when she heard what she said sounded like gunfire.

“In my mind, I went, ‘Was that a gunshot?’” said Harrison, 23, who lives in the 500 block of 10th Street just north of Plainwell.

Allegan County sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene about 12:20 a.m. and found Cassaundra Pell, 23, and Pell’s boyfriend, Robert Burnham-Pratt, 24, shot to death.

Can you imagine responding to a disturbance and finding your own kid dead at the scene?

From Wednesday afternoon through Sunday evening, 12 people were killed in shootings in Chicago and at least 62 others were wounded by gun violence, according to the Tribune.

Lol despite some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country!

It's kind of funny that a dumb comment/link and a dumb response are expected after holiday weekends.

******ed analogies are ******ed.

The correct analogy is impossible, he took his medication.

Try harder

It's almost like there are much less restrictive gun regulations just outside and all around Chicago...

It's a tremendous analogy.

There are multiple factors that can bring on heart attacks. High Blood Pressure is just one.

There are multiple factors that can bring on gun violence. Current Gun Laws are just one.
