"Most years, there are three fatal bear attack incidents on the continent, per year. But on average, this number decreases to 2.56 fatal incidents, per year."

I had to look it up because I was curious about the actual numbers.

Bump stocks don't make a gun fully auto they just reduce the time it takes to pull the trigger repeatedly. If they should be banned because they're dangerous we've already decided that the rate that bullets can go out of a barrel is the problem, we're just disagreeing on how fast.

They effectively make them fully auto. A couple things: Fully auto guns are already legal for people to buy if they go through all the procedures to get one via an ATF license. People do not need these licenses to get a semi auto and a bump stock, so going that route is basically subverting the National Firearms Act which mandates the ATF license for fully auto.

Another major problem with bumpstocks is this: rifles are designed to be accurate, that's why they fire a single bullet through a rifled barrel. Though I have never fired one myself, from what I've seen and read, when people use bumpstocks with semi autos it greatly reduces the accuracy because of the way in which the gun is being fired makes it very hard to aim accurately. It also creates a very irregular rate of fire, again making aiming accurately a lot more difficult, and increasing the chances of mechanical failure.

Are you saying remove all bears from continental US? This is probably the dumbest post I've read of yours.

I am sure accuracy is a major issue when quickly firing hundreds of rounds at a dozen people in one's immediate vicinity.

Checking on on the "a good guy with a gun to stop a bad guy with a gun"

Quote:
After security asked a group of drunk men to leave Manny’s Blue Room Bar around 4 a.m. Sunday, witnesses say someone came back with a gun and opened fire. Security returned fire, and according to witnesses, 26-year-old armed security guard Jemel Roberson apprehended one of the men involved outside.

"He had somebody on the ground with his knee in back with his gun in his back like, 'don’t move,'" witness Adam Harris said.
Yeah! Good guy with gun stopped bad guy with a gun

Quote:
Soon after, witnesses say an officer responding to the shooting fired at Roberson after arriving on the scene.

"Everybody was screaming out, 'he was a security guard,' and they basically saw a black man with a gun and killed him," Harris said.
Oh no!

Given the ridiculous amount of mass shootings in the US do we have any figures for how many 'good guys with a gun' have stopped someone?

Seems like some victim blaming going on ITT.

If you don't think guns should be banned "because some nutjobs do bad things with them sometimes," why do you need a gun to ward off bears? Unless you are saying bears kill more Americans than guns?

I personally do not typically need a gun to fend off bears, as I find myself in black bear country very rarely, unfortunately. Would love to visit Colorado more frequently, but it is what it is.

I was merely providing a couple examples of how hand guns are practical. I don't really understand how no one picked up on the concealed carry or open holster carry. The former especially would be very difficult with a long gun. Same with the disabled single arm person example. Of course people lost their **** at the idea of cops being without hand guns and then proceeded to drool cow hide remants out of their mouths, but meowers gonna chow.

Yeah man the open carry thing is one of those bits you shouldn't have said if you were pretending to be a socialist anarchist persuadable Democrat voter who the **** cares about letting people cosplay with deadly weapons?

"if you ban pistols what will do you do about open carry?" lol we ban that **** too of course.
11-13-2018 , 08:04 AM
I support citizens having the same rights as police in regards to open carrying firearms. omg I'm so Hitler, let's all freak the **** out.

Yeah nobody cares about winning your vote then

you're not hitler because you support open carry, btw. your opinions/ideas are just very poorly thought out, and it's a near certainty that you aren't being 100% honest. not going to do the back and forth here
11-13-2018 , 08:27 AM
No thanks, I don't do what you tell me. I honestly don't give a **** what you think, I don't know you, you don't know me, I don't care to know you. You can disagree with me, you can get all hot and bothered with your emotions, but realize that you're the one losing your cool and emotional control in an argument with LirvA the infamous twoplustwo spaztard.

Cheers.
