Yea, we get it. You people aren't big on freedom.

My rather inciteful style of posting is excellent at blowing through the smoke and getting you people to admit how anti freedom you truly are.

Dude likes target shooting therefore........
It's essentially the case closed "guns are only meant to kill, target practice is just practicing to kill" argument.

I'm sure he's unaware he's in clearly charted territory with this line.

FYP. But hey, Be All You Can Be.

I'm pretty sure 1st graders on Monday would like to feel freedom from needing to feel scared that someone's gonna enter their classroom and light 'em up. I'm pretty sure kids' parents would like to taste the freedom from having to fear their kids are going to be targeted, too.

Why do you so fear the freedom of the legislative process?

Also, that is a unintentionally brilliant neologism.

Many people want to have the freedom to walk around and not be shot. You think anti freedom = anti gun.
12-16-2012 , 01:09 AM
you sound like a dart nut

To be fair, every one of those people died protecting Nancy Lanza's freedom to procure high powered weapons and get her son interested in the passion of pulling the trigger. Maybe we can just start putting purple hearts in kids' lunchboxes, so they'll already have them on hand when they serve their country in such fashion.

Well, I too cherish the ability to walk around and not be shot.

Thats why I carry.

It means anyone who hates guns must hate freedom as well (which is nonsense.)

Well, that actually makes you 4.5x as likely to get shot, according to that peer reviewed study linked a buncha pages back in the thread, so your actions may not be achieving your desired intent.
12-16-2012 , 01:18 AM
fwiw, just about everyone in this thread, on both sides of the issue, is an irrational nut IMO.

That is an offensively disgusting thing to say, even if you're just speaking as a partisan shill. I seriously hope no one who lost someone in this happens to read your comment.

only if they propose laws that prohibit people from owning guns
12-16-2012 , 01:25 AM
What if they propose laws which will make every effort to ensure people who own guns are responsible, well-trained, and mentally stable?

Eliminate the first and third requirements, and you might be on to something. Replace them with "well-concealed" and "well stocked", and then you'll be rolling.

Then the people who want the freedom to walk around and not be shot have to carry.

I suggested laws like this hundreds, perhaps 1000s of posts ago. I many not have explicitly said that but implied as much when I said people should identify the threat before shooting, etc. earlier itt. That's my main point wrt to gun issues. I've said it on this forum before, I'm scared to hunt with random people just because of how bad the average person handles a loaded weapon. Average meaning someone who has had either hunter's safety training or better.
