Not even gonna have to go that far to offer thoughts and prayers before forgetting about it.

But what if it WAS ISIS? I guess we'll know once Trump starts tweeting about it.

Oh wait, he has:

Okay so we know it wasn't terrorism, don't worry everyone, this is a The Price Of Freedom mass killing.

Also does it really make sense to gather together in a church without frisking everyone? Just not common sense, we may need to totally reconsider worship. Metal detectors, profiling, psych profiles of parishioners. Everything should be on the table here.

Need to figure out what the hell is going on.

Initial draft of Donald Trump Mass Killing Flowchart:

Thought and prayers kind of ring hollow when they're literally killed in a church

Also this is Texas, where were all the Good Guys with Guns to prevent this?

I caught some MSNBC coverage earlier and both the host and guest were in agreement that yep, guess we'll just have to have armed guards at the entrance of all churches.

Clearly the answer is to pass laws making it easier for the good guys to be armed. If Texas didn't have such restrictive gun laws this clearly never would have happenned.

"Monitoring the situation" for Trump is literally watching Fox News on Air Force One.

This is starting to feel like something from Brass Eye (UK satire show) 20 years ago:

Authorities at the press conference said that a civilian that lives near the church shot at the shooter as he was leaving the church.

Saw a bunch of headlines that are something like 'deadliest church shooting.' Damn, imagine how awesome your country is when you have deadliest X shootings record keeping for schools, churches, concerts, movie theaters, workplaces. I'm sure there sub categories for schools like elementary school rampage shootings, high school rampage shootings, university rampage shootings. Admittedly some of our church shootings are mixed up with racial motivations. Something for the statisticians and league office to sort out I guess.

God works in mysterious ways. It's all part of His plan.

My post was a classless, untimely tongue-in-cheek critique of Christianity.

I've heard that he was both hit and that the neighbor missed. Is there any good source out there yet with confirmation? I've also heard he was hit and that's what killed him and that he killed himself and that he was shot by police.

In fairness, no one had shot 59 in Sin City since Chip Beck did it at the '91 Las Vegas Invitational.

So the Trump take is that this isnt a guns problem but a mental health problem. I guess "mental health" is just dog whistle for "whelp, nothing we can do." The GOP isnt even trying to care about mass shootings anymore.
