Why aren't you clamoring for tougher laws on the use of rental trucks?
Why aren't you making fun of everyone offering "thoughts and prayers" for the victims?
Or are you and the pols bought and paid for by the trucking industry?

LOL at Dems and liberals saying we shouldn't use this tragedy for political advantage.

Let’s do this: one month where we ban vehicles and one month where we ban guns. At the end of 2 months society picks one to ban permanently.

You probably are pretty certain which one will be banned but should you be?

More people are killed or injured each year by vehicles than guns.

Oh really? So there are people driving cars into people on purpose to murder them or could it be people involved in accidents accidents?

Guns on the other hand usually are used with the intent to kill and don't always accidentally kill people where all gun advocates say they are necessary (hunting animals).

Please shut up with this BS cherry picking

Let's see the % of deaths involved in accidents for both and I'm sure that'll give you a better idea of how stupid your statement is.

How many more people would die in car accidents per year if they had as few regulations as guns? 10x? 100x? No insurance, no licensing, no registration, and kids as young as 10 can do it if there's a parent in the car. Gee, I wonder how that would turn out.

Gun rights advocates love comparing them to cars but forget that cars are one of the most regulated things we own. There's also the small matter that cars actually do something and guns do not. The fact that they kill a bunch of people is a feature, not a bug.

don't forget mandatory ownership registration and regular inspection requirements

The point is that vehicles have massive utility to society whereas guns have basically zero; hunting game, shooting for recreation, or fantasizing about protecting your family are like fringe benefits. We accept vehicle deaths because the entire economy and prosperity of the world are based on being able to move people and things economically. If anything else with as little real-world value as guns killed even 1/4 of the people it would be banned immediately, though of course that’s unlikely because most mass produced items don’t exist to kill.

Gun-nuts massively overestimate how interested in guns 'most' people are. The rest of the world doesn't care and nor would your (much less likely to be shot) kids, unless they'd already been brainwashed by you obviously.

You could have all the practical uses of guns with single shot rifles & shotguns.

I wonder what the go-to argument will be when autonomous vehicle bring the deaths down to the hundreds?

Sure we have 100,000 preventable gunshot injuries every year, but just think of the health benefits of fresh game!

Someone just shot up a church in Texas. In literally any other developed country, this would dominate the news for weeks.
