It seems their reactions are always to destroy their own property as a boycott. I’m not really sure they grasp the process. Plus Yeti just redid their discount plan and asked the NRA to sign up for the new one. This is a crystallized example of what is wrong with so many people these days.
Perhaps they should have instead acted like a Seattle WTO protester, or perhaps professional sports team fans? I.e. destroy someone else's property...

Republicans at Trump rallies have physically assaulted liberal protestors because Donald Trump told them to

lmao

Republicans hate to see property getting destroyed. But minorities, not so much.

Yeah, lol. Do you honestly think that Republicans value black people as much as they value their coolers?

Another self-identified NRA member agreed, saying Friday: “Me personally, I won’t be listening to him speak. I won’t be going anywhere that I cant carry my firearm. It’s essentially the nations largest get together for gun owners and they won’t let law abiding legal gun owners carry guns because someone who’s supposedly pro 2A thinks its too ‘dangerous’? thats liberal logic right there.

I assume the fact that this didnt even get a mention in the thread indicates the numbers on this were significantly lower than the other recent rallys.

Lol, just kidding. Obviously it drew less. More power to these kids, but if all you're going to do is draw attention to how badly the numbers were lopsided between other protests and yours, I don't think you're accomplishing what you think youre accomplishing.

A new program at Cook Children's Hospital is showing families what can happen when their children are left alone with a gun.

The 'Aim for Safety' program has invited seven families to participate in a test. Real handguns that are unloaded and can't fire are hidden in a playroom, and cameras roll on children and their parents watching from another room.
Quote:
Dr. Hamner and Wunderlich said they keep guns in a locked safe in their home, and they have taught their boys about gun safety. But they were shocked what happened when they went through the experiment.

"I didn't think they would touch anything," Wunderlich said.

In the room, though, cameras captured every moment. Just seconds after the brothers were left alone, Jackson found a handgun. With adults still nearby, he didn't say anything to them. Instead, he picked the weapon up and pointed it at himself. He turned it towards his brother while he examined the weapon, sticking his finger down the barrel.
"I was shocked, I was kind of scared. I just wanted him to put it down," said Wunderlich.
Quote:
Dr. Guzman said that looking down the barrel is typical behavior for kids in the experiment.

"That's the first thing they do. That's an instinct they have," he said.

I'd be interested in knowing when an 'instinct' to look down the barrel of a gun crept into our gene pool...

Gun nuts: we need our guns to defend citizens against the tyrannical overreach of the government
World: <this case>
Gun nuts: no we meant white citizens

Quote:
The Urban Institute found that in “stand your ground” states, when white shooters kill black people, 34 percent of the resulting homicides are deemed justifiable. Only 3 percent of deaths are ruled justifiable when the shooter is black and the victim is white.

Shooting in a middle school today.

Here is where we are now. An actual quote from a parent:

Quote:
"This is surreal," Chad Lancaster, who has an eighth-grade daughter and sixth-grade son at the middle school, told the Indianapolis Star. "This happens in high school, not here."
