Sessions orders TENS OF THOUSANDS OF CRIMINALS to be given access to guns after removing them from the criminal background check database

Because they hadn't crossed state lines.

Thank goodness violent criminals can have access to guns so long as they don't cross state lines!

What in the everloving ****?

Have you guys ever come across libertarian-types pointing at Japan's 'homogeneity' as the primary causal factor for drastically lower violent crime? I just heard a dude cite that in addition to their young male population being decimated in WW2, their most basic instincts being generally neutered (they're not having sex, ergo...whatever causes that causes low violence?), their population of olds being substantially higher than the US...anything and everything it seems BUT the gross difference in gun ownership / culture.

I LOL'ed and wanted to see if this was a common occurrence ITT.

Its stupid 1st level thinking. "Oh, there is evidence that access to guns isnt the only variable in the gun violence problem? Well that must mean gun control doesnt work at all"

Homogeneity is used a lot. I don't know if there's any evidence of it affecting crime. It's used a lot to say that generous welfare states won't work in the US

Its code for "The USA is mainly different because of black people"

Hunting accidents are 100% standard in the Midwest. Barely makes the news when some dumbass hunter shoots someone.

That lady is the dumbass for not walking around not wearing orange during hunting season.

We already had co-President Dick Cheney do it. Hard to top that. This story's bigly a snoozer by comparison.

He managed to accidentally shoot a woman with a single shot 200 yards away? That he could barely see? Something seems off here

Reread the story and it does seem like an accident but how the heck does that happen?

You didnt read the article about all the dumb hunters who missed. Obviously. This is a poker site. Probability basics ffs.

Everyone constantly wearing hi vis jackets is just another cost of freedom. The dvaut theorem is strong.

It shouldn't be a competition of who's the dumbest shooter. This is still an incident worth reporting on, and talking about. The victim was as lovely as they come, it's upsetting ****. Couldn't even walk her dogs without some oblivious moron using her for target practice.

Maybe we just shouldn't walk around outdoors. I mean, walking isn't constitutionally protected now, is it?

Looks like we already have a lot of groundwork laid wrt civilian militias, insofar as baseline registration requirements are concerned.

on my mobile I sometimes misclick on the thread and it goes the first page. man, this first page is a doozy.

Relax, no high-profile gun massacre (today), just more confirmation that the GOP doesn't give a **** about gun violence and that states' rights only refers to allowing people to own black people as property:

NRA-sponsored bill mandating concealed carry permits from any state to be recognized in all states set to pass the House

I have seen the homogeneity argument used to explain how different japan and u.s. employment is ranging from discrimination laws, longevity of employment, undeveloped human resource profession to paying livable wages.

So all we need to do is kick out all the minorities...and the Irish.
12-07-2017 , 11:19 AM
It's always awesome to watch the "we aren't racists," deplorables deploy the "cultural homogeneity" arguments which are totes a confession of racism.

School shooting today. Didn't hear about it? 57th school shooting of 2017.
