You know he has hemophilia because you saw it on his player-profile on ESPN in the week leading up to the superbowl. Casual bystander status RECONFIRMED.

Judge William B. Traxler Jr. said his colleagues have “gone to greater lengths than any other court to eviscerate the constitutionally guaranteed right to keep and bear arms.”

lol history is gonna look as kindly upon this guy as the dred scott majority.

The right to defend others is well-established across most(all?) jurisdictions. Anyone arguing against it is making the pro-gun control side look bad.
Usually the right to defend oneself or others excludes excessive force and sometimes expect retreat. That's why lethal force is rarely justified.
Unfortunately some US states disagree (see stand your ground).

Important hypothetical: If you see a guy fighting 30 5 year olds as part of the classic challenge, which side do you help?
02-22-2017 , 11:27 AM
I guess that depends on whether you have a high capacity magazine.

PSA: "Stand Your Ground" doesn't mean you can shoot doofuses who text during movies.

Quote:
Oulson threw a bag of popcorn at Reeves, according to a criminal complaint, and Reeves then took out his handgun and fired at Oulson, killing him.

Defense attorneys asked the judge to dismiss the murder charge under the "stand your ground" law that allows residents to use deadly force when they fear death or great bodily harm.

In the Trump era, however, that fear is gone, and with it the market’s urgency to beat the clock on the next “commonsense” gun ban. That’s helped nudge iconic gunmakers Colt and Remington to lay off hundreds of workers and shut down entire divisions of their companies, forced manufacturers to close their doors, and prompted retailers and distributors to offer deep discounts on firearms, with one offering an AR-15 rifle at prices below even the cheapest handguns.

While the Obama years might have been a dark time for gun rights, the Democrat president was a boon for gun retailers and manufacturers (a fact Obama has admitted himself). Each time the needle ticked further in the direction of gun restriction, Americans flocked to their local gun store and plunked down cash for more irons.

What do they call an actually higher than standard clip, high-high capacity? Like, smaller than a banana clip, but more rounds than a standard one, or is there no such thing? I wouldn't know.

In my insomnia daze saw about shooting on Vegas Strip. Apparently near or at a music festival.

First report I saw was at least 2 dead 24 injured but now just saw an update at least 20 dead, 100 injured.

Originally Las Vegas pd thought only one shooter who was down but not sure if that is still the case as there are reports in the twitter verse of shooters in multiple locations.

Going to have to wait for things to shake out. In terms of who? Nobody has any info now but that is not stopping people from putting totally fabricated info out there.

i saw when the news broke and they showed a video of it where you could hear the gun fire over the music. First thing I noticed: it was almost certainly one person, and that one person was an amateur with a weapon. My reason: his reload time was atrocious. My friend said "thats the first thing you think of?" And I am not a fan of guns but it was obvious. I suppose I shouldn't say "he" it could be a "she"

where's that guy to clear up the very important information about whether the gun was a semi-automatic or automatic or military or non-military weapon

The hopelessness on this issue is beyond depressing. Like legitimately makes me have suicidal thoughts because there is just no hope for this country.

I don't know if this will help - but I saw this tweet a few weeks back when things felt pretty grim, and it helped me.

I thought I understood the difference between a semi-automatic weapon and an automatic weapon, but the videos embedded in this story make it clear how easy it is to convert a semi-automatic into an effectively fully automatic weapon.

Can't regulate evil, though, so let's not try.
