Regardless of the outcome, none of this is good news. Even if there was no collusion, we're talking about a guy who chose to believe Putin over his own intelligence agencies. A guy who lavished Putin with complements and celebrated firing Comey with Russian officials.

If there is no collusion, then we have to confront the unfortunate truth which is that the American people, without being misled by foreign sources, chose to elect somebody who wants to dismantle democracy and start a white ethnostate while half of the adult population stood on the sidelines and watched it happen. To me, that is not something worth celebrating.

Every intelligence agency has said Russia interferes with the election

William Barr’s summary of the mueller report doesn’t change that.

Is it the right time to point out Mueller covered for Goodell when he investigated how the NFL handled the Ray Rice scandal?

So many people uptight over nothing. Not like anything new broke today. A compromised Att Gen offered his opinion on an unseen report. I'll wait for less biased opinions.

Mueller used his office to gather information. He indicted people to that end. He handed off prosecutions to others at every stage. Not surprising that he's done it again.

I spent the weekend in the Columbia Gorge wilderness cut-off from everything and want to go back until the entire report is released

Also, you're second paragraph is really absurd. Mueller indicted others close to Trump with links to Russians. Whether or not Trump himself was involved is moot.
Yeah I don’t even get this. Barr and Rosenstein literally wrote the letter themselves.

Of course Barr has massive conflicts that should have kept him from being a decision maker on this but bill asking for proof that Barr was responsible for this is crazy.

I wish I could appoint a person to decide if the evidence against me openly obstructing justice is enough to prove I obstructed justice, during the time I admitted on camera I obstructed justice.

Its rather funny watching DT Jr spike the ball despite it being public record that he tried to collude with a hostile foreign power but got saved by the intelligence of the Russians to better hide the follow up meetings when they colluded for real. He was saved by his own stupidity and the stupidity of Kushner (who we know for a fact was secretly dealing with the Saudis and Israelis at least during the transition and likely a long time before and we know for a fact set up a back channel to the Russians via a Russian bank and the Devos/Prince family (who we know for a fact lied to Congress and we know for a fact secretly met with foreign powers as a back channel during the transition).

Time for the House to start flexing its subpoena powers and get the truth out in the open, starting with the Deutsche Bank execs who approved 9 figure loans to a multi time bankrupt who couldnt get credit at any rate anywhere else.

I mean I am no lawyer but if you just list the things we know there is so much illegal stuff going on that we already know. The full unredacted report will be like a step by step guide to breaking the law working with shady foreign powers whilst not quite meeting the standards to break the law. If nothing else itll be a guide to the loopholes that need closing.
03-25-2019 , 06:47 AM
Barr could only have released that summary if he was fully confident the actual report would never see the light of day. This White House has already demonstrated that they’re not interested in any kind of transparency. They’re completely stonewalling House committees. They have a compliant judiciary fully prepared to rule that they don’t have to give anything up.

And don’t forget, Trump has played this game before and won — he started his campaign saying he was completely willing to release his tax returns. Him saying last week that he’d be okay with releasing the Mueller report means absolutely nothing.

Someone is going to have to leak the report and risk a prison term, otherwise we are never seeing it.

So the lifelong republican protected the republican president. Big shock. Glad we can all move on from russiagate now and stay on the topics that actually matter; inequality and healthcare. Everything else is basically a distraction.

If Russian interference in American elections continues without any repercussions for those involved, the 2020 election may very well be our last.

Like Garry Kasparov wrote, "Never take your liberty for granted, and be careful whom you vote for because it may be the last election you’ll ever have."

People who don't see this as a big deal are not seeing the big picture. After all, it's pointless to run on healthcare and income equality if you can't run in the first place.

It's not the Russians. Paraphrasing dvaut the call is coming from inside the house. High level Russian psy ops seems to be indistinguishable from ****posting. It's the fact that american olds are basically the worst and primed to believe anything that conforms to their worldview as shaped/created by fox news (Australian interference!) that is the issue not the nationality of those taking advantage of that situation.

The russians didn't have anything to do with the GOP stealing a senate seat in georgia, nor with the shutting down of polling stations in black and latino communities. They didn't have anything to do with the medias (and in turn our own) obsession with trump giving him billions in free publicity nor with the normalising of hateful rhetoric spread across youtube by americans for americans.

Masha Gessen in The New Yorker:

Quote:
The Mueller investigation, as a media story and a conversation topic, has been irresistible largely because it promised a way to avoid thinking of Trump as an American development.

The Russian-collusion story dangled the carrot of discovering that Trump was entirely foreign to U.S. politics, a puppet of a hostile power.

All the cryptofash "left" getting their big wet President victory laps in before the report is released seem to have an INCREDIBLE amount of faith in Bill Barr's honesty in summarizing it lol.

Who has had the report since Friday and not released it. At what point does that start to curb the manic high?

A ton of the Russian bot traffic was boosting domestically produced derp to 3% more poeple than would've seen it otherwise.

The country that should be looking at foreign influencers here is New Zealand, and their target should be the US because our media is what motivated Christchurch.

I think it is likely the morally correct, but tactically incorrect, play to push for the release of the full report. There will likely be some technical findings that won't move the needle or grab enough media attention to matter and some obstruction of justice findings that will fall in the bucket of "we already knew that though, right?"

That said, I still personally want to see it. I just think its a mistake to think it will help dems unseat Trump in 2020 and might actually work the other way.

Maggie ****ing Haberman is a gossip rag loser and it’s a legitimate ****ing disgrace the NYT has her writing front page stories.

My mom, yesterday. She watched a year old rerun on Saturday thinking it was new and had to show me the amazon echo for seniors parody commercial because I just bought her one.

Ford was the president that SNL made fun of for falling down. It was Chevy Chase's bit.
