If there are twenty reasons to be opposed to someone, you pick the one that you care about the least while pretending it is one of your more important ones, and then use to try that reason to persuade others to be opposed to that person, you better be awfully sure that reason is irrefutable. People who don't understand EV of such gambles should not be making decisions.

Most people on here oppose him for the other reasons and dont pretend otherwise.

This argument is basically "well Mueller says Trump didn't commit a collusion crime so therefore we think he had nothing to cover up". You seem to be taking pretty seriously the face value arguments of Trump's Department of Justice saying "oh no, trust us, we have very good reasons for not prosecuting Donald Trump" as if there was a remotely likely outcome here where William Barr says "Donald Trump, you are UNDER ARREST". lol, come on dude.

If the Democrats pursue the technical fact that you can obstruct justice by hampering the investigation of a possible crime even though it has been determined not to have been committed, they will have miscalculated once again. The average person will not be on board with that technicality.

No one expected him to.

I don't know his political beliefs. He has worked under both Republican and Democrat administrations. I'm not willing to say that Mueller has conspired to protect POTUS.

This is going to be Bush 2.0. Everything will unravel by Fall 2020 re: the economy and some Democrat will spend their presidency cleaning up the mess. Nothing transformative will get passed, health care will remain a disaster, nobody with money will be punished for anything, USA will continue burning trillions blowing up the non white world. Let’s pretend zero collusion for a minute; trump was still obstructing justice because he’s done lots of other stuff and didn’t want it being investigated

There is no world in which trump wasn’t obstructing justice, this is just a voter palatable way of saying “the president is above the law”
