Petition to combine this thread with the one about Glenn Greenwald being a great journalist. Bitches.

Was Corsi treated ethically? How often is someone offered a plea deal and then not charged after he turns it down?

What I've read says there are no recommendations for indictments. If so, the results are nothing like the frenzy about treason we've heard for two years. I'm sure the report will uncover lots of Trump sleaze to cling to, but without indictments, it's a bust. It is Whitewater with Dem authorship. (For you kids, the GOP did a Bengazi-style campaign of innuendo for years over a real estate deal the Clintons were involved in. Special prosecutor, jailing of witnesses, years of fuss and innuendo, then nothing.)

Russiagate is what happens when you have a Democratic party that refuses to confront banks, corporations, and empire. Since they serve the rich, they need to attract voters with hype instead of policy. It is the same game the GOP plays, but instead of race baiting and Muslim bashing, they serve up lurid conspiracy theories about a clown. This is Clintonian politics -- paper-thin populist veneer over craven corporate service. And you guys fell for it. If you keep a focus on Trump as a participant in class warfare against us, which the Dems also participate in, then you don't have to go looking in Kremlin towers for golden shower tapes. It's the class war, stupid.

lol leftists celebrating a republican cop letting a fascist president off the hook.

Trump committed crimes but you cannot indict a sitting President is the leader in the clubhouse, imo.

Celebrating? It would be very gratifying for Trump to get nailed for the worst theories about collaboration with Russia. Tagging the GOP for a generation as treasonous would be very helpful. But there was never any convincing evidence of criminal behavior, it was all just a feeling that there had to be something there, like Hillary in both Whitewater and Benghazi.

If that's the case, then that would be different. If he's going to be tried as soon as he's out of the White House, then kudos to Mueller and Greenwald can be sentenced to being the court reporter at the trial.

That is why Trump has stfu while he lets his Justice Department set the narrative of "no further indictments" for him while he figures out how to spin this. He'll eventually come out with something to the effect of its not illegal when the President does it, but unlike Tricky Dicky, he will get away with it via the combination of the Trump/Fox News era & Republican Congressmen terrified of Trump's cult.

Agree. So how then does one argue that the President is not above the law? The other thing that really bothers me is the assertion that if nobody's being charged with a crime, then you can't release disparaging things about them. It's a joke.

Yeah i was wrong those secret meetings before the election that did not happen then did must of been about adoption and not election tampering.

We already know Trump sold out our country for Trump Tower Moscow and Putin keeping the deal on the down low for him so not sure what you are babbling about..... Guess you are celebrating the possiblity that dictating foreign policy based on which foreign leader is promising you the sweetest real estate deal might not be illegal? Congrats!

Also, reject your premise.

Bill Clinton and Donald Trump are/were smooth talking criminals >> only Trump is a criminal >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> neither Trump nor Clinton are/were criminals

Which foreign policy did Moscow dictate? What of our country was actually sold? Who made the quid pro quo?

I think Trump is entirely capable of sabotaging a US policy to get a tower deal. But where's the proof? This is Glenn Beck level Benghazi smearing. And you're still doubling down after it all turned to sand.

Isn't Trump's murderous racism and pollution mongering sufficient to establish his character? Why make crap up?

You made that up. None of that was written by me. This is why you were suckered by Russiagate. You just invent whatever you want to believe.

Did you forget the change to the GOP platform regarding the Ukraine?
03-23-2019 , 12:24 AM
How about weakening of the relationship between the US and its NATO allies? Putin's probably pretty happy about that.
03-23-2019 , 12:30 AM
The biggest payback was trump in and of himslef. An idiot and chief to lessen Americans confidence in their democracy. All the other stuff like dragging his feet on sanctions and even ending sanctions on Russian oligarchs was just gravy.

It’s going to be years and years of morons saying “no collusion” even though don junior already tweeted an email chain that proves collusion

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How much did Victor win?

Trump’s campaign manager being found guilty of being an unregistered foreign agent seems a little bit like foreign collusion, but you do you.
03-23-2019 , 01:38 AM
What happenes next? How many levels of government people have to see this before it gets released to the gen pop?

Trump secretly negotiating Trump Moscow deal during the campaign is extremely well established:

http://www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/nati...ower-in-moscow

As is the fact that Trump ran the most pro-Russia campaign ever.

0.0% chance Mueller report refutes these two basic facts.

And I am able to connect the two because I have two brain cells to rub together.

All that remains to be established is whether this is illegal or not.

It's not 100% to be released to the public. As I understand it, Trump's new US Attorney General appointee, Barr, has control over what get's released out of the DOJ, meaning that even congress might not get the full Mueller report, ever.
