I'm still not very clear how this conspiracy didn't happen. The Trump side was willing, the Russians presumably were willing but somehow it didn't happen?

I mean, we could always just have investigators go talk to the intermediary and find out why this collusion didn't happen...

Like, for all we know he WAS in contact with Russians and WAS working with them, but didn't leave behind any proof of it... and since he offed himself (or got got), he can't testify.
