Being a young man sucks (in a relative sense) for a decent chunk of the population. Very few people actually respect or listen to you (because you look like a child), and almost no one wants to **** you. Peterson just preaches easier solutions to this situation than the normal solutions of developing attractive qualities or just relaxing until you’re older.

This forum really was a tremendous resource for learning about the context of the insane stories of tomorrow:

He said that he got his start in radical libertarianism at George Mason University, where the economics department has come under fire for allowing Charles and David Koch to handpick professors in exchange for donations. Larson said sat in on a course taught by professor Thomas Rustici, which formed his views. Rustici is currently working directly with the Koch Foundation, according to his faculty page at the university.

“There's a lot of anarcho-capitalists at George Mason University,” Larson said.
Oh, yeah, GMU, Koch Bros, this ACism sounds pretty reasonable. Now here's where the 2p2 pedigree helps us. Normal people are like "oh so he doesn't like taxes", but all of us know exactly what comes next:

Asked to clarify his support for Adolf Hitler, Lason told VICE News, “Well, he wrote Mein Kampf. He put a lot of interesting racial ideas that I think there's some truth there,” adding, “So yeah, I think the intent was noble. And the effect that it ended up having was that Germany is probably better off now than they were before the war.”

On the Holocaust, he said, “Even if that happened, there's so many other countries that have done genocides. If we're going to hold every country to that standard, we'll have to hold the U.S. to that standard.” He said he hasn’t researched whether or not the Holocaust actually took place, but is skeptical that Western countries have banned Holocaust denial.

“If you can refute it, you don't need to ban the opposing view.”

He also wanted to clarify that he doesn’t remember ever saying that he wanted to have sex with infants. “If I did, it may have been just locker room talk. The same way that Donald Trump likes to talk about grabbing women by the pussy when he's on a bus with Billy Bush on his way to do an Access Hollywood video, pedocels sometimes like to joke around with each other about sex with babies,” he told VICE News in an email.

I still preferred the deplorable women who huffpo did a little background work on then wwe fired her husband for best trump related story from yesterday.

I want to know what a pedocel is, but I'm pretty sure I don't want it in my browser search history.

I'm gonna guess same deal as incels only their targets are under 12.

Old white man pleads guilty to raping a 5 year old, gets 90 days house arrest and no sex offender registry. Meanwhile, another poor black kid somewhere steals a pair of Jordans or gets caught with weed and catches a couple years in federal pound me in the ass prison.

In other news, the sudden erosion of norms that have been keeping supremacists and deviants of all sorts in check since the civil rights era has culminated with a congressional campaign by an overt white supremacist, pro-incest, pro-child-porn Libertarian candidate in my home state of Virginia! Why even hide that **** anymore? F***ing MAGA baby!

I like this Vox piece because it spells out what's really going on

The whole saga is deeply strange — and revealing. It illustrates a profound double game underpinning much of the so-called “free speech” controversy: a controversy that often isn’t really about freedom and is more concerned with power than with speech.
Quote:
In practice, many campus conservatives have hijacked the idea [of free speech]. The strategy is to invite someone with a history of making sexist or racist comments, like provocateur*Milo Yiannopoulos,*with the express purpose of outraging campus liberals. When left-wing students protest, the right claims the mantle of defending free speech — when what they’re actually doing is opening the door to overtly offensive discourse.

It’s a kind of power game. The goal isn’t to vindicate the abstract right to free speech but to assert the right’s power and influence over campus discourse — to force the campus mainstream into a choice between allowing vile ideas to spread or looking hostile to free speech.

The Ferguson emails are an unusually clear admission that this is what’s going on. Digging up dirt on a student in an attempt to silence their activism isn’t about “free speech” — it’s about suppressing left-wing speech. The entire framing of the Cardinal Conversations in the emails positions the initiative, which Ferguson ran, as part of a broader war on “the Left” and “SJWs.”
Quote:
It’s not like Stanford is a university where there’s no room for right-leaning students. Hoover is a center-right think tank based at the university with a budget of more than $50 million and an endowment of more than $450 million. There is no left-wing equivalent — a large ideological think tank that closely connected to a university — at any school in the United States.

Yet campus conservatives are treating its events not as a well-established place for airing their views, but as part of a campaign to crush liberal opponents. The very decision to invite people like Murray and Hoff Sommers, who are most famous for making inflammatory claims about race and gender (respectively), suggests that the Cardinal Conversations themselves were designed to court controversy.
