Speaking of right-wing culture nurturing these nutbars:

What's so bothersome is that what this guy believes really isn't that different from what I see deplorables post on social media every day.

There are countless people just like him. The only difference is that he was motivated enough to act on his desires while the rest stand on the sidelines and at minimum ignorance his white supremacy. At worst, they're openly happy about it.

Is it already known where he got the gun?

Yea i read some of his stuff and it couldve been written by an old nazi coworker of mine. He has a lot of guns too. Have considered forwarding info to the Fbi but he hasnt really made any threats or indications of violence, he just posts a lot of white supremacist/anti muslim ****.

these fn guys who have problems with the elite/immigration policy, why go after the regular people who are doing nothing but what anyone else would do, trying to have a better life for themselves? if you're going to subscribe to some kind of conspiracy theory or whatever, at least man the f up and go after powerful people that you blame for knowingly causing problems, don't target the little people. chicken ****

This 8chan stuff comes off like there's a subculture of young white dudes on the internet that are into mass murdering people for the lulz

The administration can't solve the problem unless they name the problem. Clinton was unwilling to say radical Islamic terrorism and Trump's administration + party is unwilling to say right-wing terrorism.
The media isn’t always willing to call the actual dip**** shooters white supremacists. The pushback is when you call Ben Shapiro or Tucker Carlson a White supremacist.

How the hell did this subreddit exist until now?

Because when reddit did their last big crackdown on hate subreddits they focused on things like fat shaming and not like...actual hate. r/the_donald has 750k subscribers and has hot take posts such as
Notice when it's a white shooter they are "racist" or "white nationalist" but when it's a Muslim shooter it's "lone wolf" or "mentally unstable"
or

Islamophobia. It's natural to fear a religion who behead those who don't follow Islam. It's natural to fear a religion that persecutes women for not covering 95% of their bodies in sheets. It's natural to fear a religion that hog ties and hurls gays from rooftops.
or

Can we discuss the fact that in the past 30 days 701 people have been killed in the name of Islam?
not to mention fun posts tagged with things like "PARTY OF CRIME", "ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE", and "CORRUPTION" talking about democrats.

That's exactly what it is. It's people who model their worldview after The Joker from The Dark Knight.

In reality, they're people who are completely sheltered from any damage Trump can inflict enjoying the chaos.
03-15-2019 , 04:34 PM
These people existed long before trump. He's just given them legitimacy.

Remember that kid that OD'd on a webcam like 15 years ago and the whole channel was egging/cheering him on? Same people.

The demographic is typically (to be very general) underemployed, sexually frustrated white males.

I've only bumped into these types from my longtime grim curiousity with seeing horrible videos on the internet - I used to watch every sick twisted thing I could get my hands on when I was 13-15. it wasn't because I enjoyed them it was just because I was so fascinated by how sick people could be.

Today was the first day I ever truly and completely regretted satisfying the curiosity. It is really bad and I've felt sorta sick all day. I don't know what to do but I'm just filled with rage about it.

The only thing I can maybe compare it to in terms of graphic-ness was the video of that israeli pilot that was burned alive by isis, or one of those journalist beheading videos. but there's a moment in this shooting that is just so, so horrible that I don't want to write about it.

The median right-winger's reaction to this is scarier than I would have even guessed. Just a ton of hand waving and whataboutism out there.

I’d strongly advise not watching it. As someone who had to look at gory pictures for a living not too long ago including of children, I can attest that that **** ****s you up for life.

Seconded and i know ive made several posts about it but it’s really ****ing horrible, theres a moment towards the end that just keeps replaying in my mind and i know im not gonna sleep well tonight or perhaps ever again, it’s seriously bad

Some weird guy I knew on FB once posted a video that autoplayed of a horrific car crash, like six teenagers thrown from a car, someone was filming it right after it happened. I just watched, because I dunno, I couldn't turn away. Some were dead, some weren't, but the ones who weren't were seconds or minutes away from dying. They were twitching, moaning, trying to stand with all limbs broken, etc. The sounds and movement they were making, 8 years later it's still stuck in my head and I think about it way too often. I initially felt tempted to watch this shooting but it sounds just as horrific, seeing that kind of death up close and personal, and the screams and cries and helplessness, really messes us up.
03-15-2019 , 07:01 PM
I drove by the immediate aftermath of this crash
https://www.ocregister.com/2013/05/2...h-friend-says/

Car hit a tree at about 100 miles an hour and split it in two. That was the previous worst thing I’ve ever seen. This definitely beat it by a lot.

Its not really the gore factor it’s the people begging for their lives. It seriously sparks a rage in me that makes me want to hurt someone

Yeah just reading about the one guy who made a charge and almost succeeded, but ended up being shot, it's heartbreaking and nauseating.

I can't even read accounts of this stuff. I read something about the guy who killed the Mom and 2 daughters in Yosemite that still haunts me. Never again.

Whereas when we were teenagers we rented Faces of Death (which is largely fake but we didn't know that) and weren't phased at all. By far the most disturbing thing for us was when they were beating the monkey in the head with mallets to eventually eat it (which was also fake but supposedly depicts a real thing that happens). Teenagers and empathy just don't mix - extends well into 20s for many.

My empathy didn't really kick into overdrive until I had a kid in my life. After that I can't even watch movies where something bad happens or almost happens to a kid.

I saw a young girl come so close to getting killed that she literally walked into the side of the guy's car as he screeched past - slamming on his brakes at the last second when he finally saw her. Think of how few milliseconds that is. I could see the whole thing developing for seconds too and was powerless to do anything.

I’m not surprised, but Trumps comments were absolutely disgusting. It’s beyond narcissism, the guy is barely human.

You'll have to click through to Twitter to see rest of the pics but yea there is zero light between this mass murderer and the American far right

Definitely not watching that video. I have no problem watching gross stuff like 2 Girls 1 Cup or stuff where people get injured seriously by doing stupid things.

But watching innocent people get killed is just not something I think I can handle.
