Aftermath of SUV shooting w/ bodies (graphic content)

Spoiler:

Not sure I want to look at either of those two posts

it's a dead body, but it's not particularly terrible.

Something doesn't add up. At a gathering of government employees someone gets offended by something and goes to grab a few people to come back and kill people? It had to have been a deliberately planned attack, with the motives as yet not understood.

MSNBC is saying it's workplace violence, still seems like a stretch that 3 guys got fired at once or pissed at their coworkers at once...

News conference going to start in a couple minutes. Apparently some more actual info.

MSNBC now reporting one dead, one in custody from the SUV. idk, those dudes both looked pretty dead to me.

then built pipe bombs to ward off police.... is that really who works at the public health building?

At this point, it's not entirely clear to me how sure they are that there's really a third shooter and now just some guy jumping fences in the neighborhood at the wrong time.
12-02-2015 , 09:10 PM
All the pipe bomb claims have been about as credible as everything else we've heard.
12-02-2015 , 09:11 PM
Is it better or worse that they were shooting specific people versus say random disabled people?

I kinda feel better about that, if such an emotion is possible in a story like this.

From the NYT

Quote:
Investigators believe there were three gunmen and one of them had worked at the facility and recently had a dispute with fellow employees, according to law enforcement officials. A witness has told police that although the gunmen had their faces covered, one of them sounded and appeared very similar to an employee who had left the facility earlier in the day. “They had their appearances covered but a witness believed it had been someone who worked there,” said one official.
So this is kinda iffy.

Well... it is a politics forum I guess.
Sadly, it's impossible to wait a week after every mass shooting to talk about it, because you'd never get the week's worth of time without one necessary.

Yeah it seems impossible to get your buddies to go a shooting rampage cause you had a bad day at work.
On the other hand this is the least symbolic terrorist target ever.

350+ incidents this year in 336 days in the US where 4+ people have been shot.

Japan, a country of 127 million people, has less people die in gun homicides annually than died here in what was likely < 10 minutes.

O'Reilly spending the past 20 minutes having his guests do everything they can to imply that this was ISIS without ever explicitly saying it.

Americans ready to give up their guns yet?

Or maybe if all those patients had rifles on them this wouldn't happen.

i've always thought the most terrifying type of terrorism would be creating an environment where any spot could get shot up on any given day, but that's not how they seem to operate.
