In my lawsuit the guy I sued welched on the settlement we reached. Part of the deal was that if he welched I would get more dough and I would get a judgement thus not being bound by a confidentiality agreement. Got the court order awarding me a judgement last week and now he's being hauled into court on an order to show cause as to why he should not be held in contempt. My lawyer doesn't think he'll show up. Lovely stuff. My lawyer made a motion for sanctions which judge hasn't ruled on yet. March 31 could be a very good day.

I really hope AC gets tried somewhere, someday and hardly any roads (or public transportation of other kinds) get built. That would be the ultimate in politard hilarity.
03-18-2010 , 08:38 PM
lol would it be? I'd favor a society with no roads over one where everyone is enslaved to each other.
03-18-2010 , 08:45 PM
I think Jay just thinks that would be funny. I'd have to agree.
03-18-2010 , 08:45 PM
also, nimn, when did you stop posting in ssnl?

Probably about a year ago, quite can't remember why. Funny you ask, I was thinking of dropping by in the life thread again soon. I'll try to remember to when I have a little more free time.

Yeah, I would spend literally a whole day going through this forum and copy+pasting variants on "but who would build teh roads?" into an OP, just to be able to reply "no-one apparently."

Maybe I'm sad, but I'd find an AC society not being able to build roads hilarious after the sarcastic, mocking meme centered around it.

They don't need roads since there would be flying cars, LDO.

Somewhere in between. Basically...I'm a 7 seed. I actually like the program, just not the location very much, it would have ranked higher if it werent in Springfield, IL.

Cool then. My cousin got Grand Rapids/MSU, so he's pretty pumped. His brother lives there and his parents are an hour away.

Yeah heard really good things about that program, its the better of the two MSU programs, I wasnt able to make it to my interview there so didnt end up ranking it. Happy for him. I'm really excited to start my job now.

There wouldn't be roads because we would have solar-powered hover-cars. FINALLY

Alternately: "Where we're going, we don't NEED roads."

Last edited by Ineedaride2; 03-19-2010 at 11:21 AM. Reason: TomCollins apparently has a solar powered jet-pony.

My knowledge of English history is pretty terrible on most periods.

What period are you doing?
03-19-2010 , 11:24 AM
the LAME period.

My guesses as to what will be on the exam: British Empire - India/China, Irish Home Rule (Easter Rising) . And then something about WWI/WWII which I have no idea what he's going to ask cause I was sick for last week of class.
03-19-2010 , 11:27 AM
I know sweet fk all about the Empire, Ireland, China and India (except that we were ****s to basically everyone), so you can do that part, and I'll do the WWI/WWII part of which I know a decent amount.

No charge for this, just repay me in, ahem, favours.
