We don't have a holocaust-denying government, but just barely. They don't seem to think Jews were involved in the holocaust in any way. Not terribly sure what the meaningful difference is there.

Maybe a bit over the top hmm?

Trump admin has Nazis/Vitezi Rend in the admin. There is no over the top.

Bull****. There is a huge difference between anti-semite and holocaust denier and conflating the two makes you look reactionary and stupid.

No. And being a member of the hungarian nazi party is worse than being an Iranian holocaust denier and it's not really close.
03-23-2017 , 11:32 AM
You know what Hungarian groups like Vitezi Rend in league with the nazis did? Murder 600000 Hungarian Jews.
03-23-2017 , 11:38 AM
Believing the holocaust happened doesn't make you a better person if you join the side that did it.

Open white supremacy is top kek

Yes, if there's one thing the United Kingdom teaches us, it is that multi-cultural societies are doomed to failure.

And you know what our government has done? Sent a poorly worded letter to the Israelis and hired some anti-semitic advisors. Evidence they are anti-semitic but not evidence they are holocaust deniers. You are free to feel one is worse than the other but they aren't the same thing and our government isn't both of them.

You keep saying anti-semites like you're talking about Archie Bunker. We're talking about someone who wears Hungarian swastikas to public events.

Engagement and trade has worked almost eveywhere we've tried it.

To be fair the Brits and Irish did have the disagreements.

That indicates that multiculturalism works even if there are obstacles to overcome. And the levels of terror attacks in the UK were much higher during The Troubles then they are today.

The US and the UK also have good relations with Japanese and Germans now. It's almost like the problem has something to do with war.

I say we kick out all the foreigners and give the UK back to the Celts. Europe isn't sending their best people, they're sending their Saxons, their Normans, their Germanic languages. Some I assume are okay people, but there aren't any bronze-smithing jobs in Wales anymore because the Romans have taken them all. Our trade deals with the Norsemen are totally unfair --we're getting robbed bigly.

I think 6th century Celtic Trump probably was on firmer footing with these accusations than his modern American equivalent

We're going to build a great, big, beautiful wall, and the Romans are going to pay for it!

We've apparently not come up with any better ideas since Hadrian's day.

Crime? That problem is as old as time, and part of the human condition. We already invented the criminal justice system. It's as if you think angry losers lashing out at the world can only be handled by some extraordinary measures, and not regular police work.

He appears to have missed at least one. On Tuesday, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) sent a letter to Secretary of Defense James Mattis and the Pentagon’s acting inspector general accusing defense contractor TransDigm Group of illegally overcharging the Department of Defense by acting as a “hidden monopolist.”

The business model Khanna described is devilishly clever, wildly profitable and totally at odds with the basic principles of a competitive market. TransDigm is essentially the Martin Shkreli of defense contractors. It’s a large holding company that searches for specialty parts used in heavy machinery ― special panels, connectors, cables and other components ― that are produced exclusively by a single company. TransDigm buys these producers and Pharma Bros them, dramatically inflating the price to exploit their monopoly.

Khanna’s letter cited five specific aerospace parts the company had jacked the price on, including a “cable assembly” that went from $1,737.03 to $7,863.00 after being acquired by TransDigm. The price of a TransDigm “motor rotor” soared from $654.46 to $5,474.00.

But the practice is widespread throughout TransDigm. The company’s own filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission state that 80 percent of its sales come from parts for which TransDigm believes itself to be a monopolist.

....

The Pentagon has rules designed to defend itself against predatory pricing. Companies that function as the sole vendors of supplies have to detail their costs to the government, which allows the firms to reap a reasonable profit margin over and above these expenses. But Khanna’s letter argued that TransDigm evaded these rules by setting up “a network of captive distributors” ― middlemen who sold to the government, creating the illusion of an actual competitive market.
