If Trump lives through this term it's 100% that the CIA wasn't involved in the Kennedy assassination, right?

We are barely 1 month into the Trumpministration. Quick, someone dangle something gilded in front of this clown so he'll slow down.

Nothing about this healthcare bill makes sense to me. Where were the adults in the room? Where are they now? Couldn't like anyone involved with drafting this bill do third grade math?

The only like kind of sort of plausible explanation is they figured if they could get an actual Orange Cartoon Grifter elected to POTUS then passing an Evil wealth transfer just barely disguised as a Health Care Bill should be no problem!

Maximum Over Rustle achieved.

That's kind of the opposite of what happened here.

I can't believe Trump really is so stupid and or delusional that he believes his own bs Obama stories. But then that makes me stupid and or delusional. It's a conundrum.

CIA good at spying and hacking who would of thunk?

It's only a story if you are a Russian sympsthizer trying to pretend Russia didn't screw with the US election and have relations with almost everybody in the Whitehouse.

A month dedicated to dual-citizens of Ireland and America? Thanks Donny boy!

I know this has been brought up before but just wanted to note that the Washington Post provides 6 free months to Amazon Prime Users and then only $3.99 a month for a digital subscription after 6 months. This is the best ongoing price I have seen for those interested in getting a subscription.

Meanwhile, in Alabama, the governor is about to get ****canned for getting caught on tape discussing his affair with a woman 30+ years his junior. Family values!

What if the genders had been reversed in the Trump-Clinton debates?

Quote:
“I’ve never had an audience be so articulate about something so immediately after the performance,” Salvatore says of the cathartic discussions. “For me, watching people watch it was so informative. People across the board were surprised that their expectations about what they were going to experience were upended.”
oh, but not how you would think...

Quote:
Many were shocked to find that they couldn’t seem to find in Jonathan Gordon what they had admired in Hillary Clinton—or that Brenda King’s clever tactics seemed to shine in moments where they’d remembered Donald Trump flailing or lashing out. For those Clinton voters trying to make sense of the loss, it was by turns bewildering and instructive, raising as many questions about gender performance and effects of sexism as it answered.
Aaand the money shot.

We heard a lot of “now I understand how this happened”—meaning how Trump won the election. People got upset. There was a guy two rows in front of me who was literally holding his head in his hands, and the person with him was rubbing his back. The simplicity of Trump’s message became easier for people to hear when it was coming from a woman—that was a theme. One person said, “I’m just so struck by how precise Trump’s technique is.” Another—a musical theater composer, actually—said that Trump created “hummable lyrics,” while Clinton talked a lot, and everything she was was true and factual, but there was no “hook” to it. Another theme was about not liking either candidate—you know, “I wouldn’t vote for either one.” Someone said that Jonathan Gordon [the male Hillary Clinton] was “really punchable” because of all the smiling

Kentucky politics update:

We have a GOP Governor and a Dem Attorney General, who is the only Democrat with any power at the state level.* The A.G. keeps suing the governor and winning, because the governor keeps flagrantly breaking the law.

In the dead of night at the tail end of the legislative session, the state GOP figured out the solution: change state law to take all power away from the A.G. and give it all to the governor! It's so elegant in its evil simplicity.

*Our Secretary of State is also a Dem, but that's not a powerful office in KY.

That's some Reconstruction 2.0 **** for real. Not too surprising though after the **** they pulled in North Carolina. This is a very serious time in American politics. Our system is being radically changed and it's happening at the state level. Is the national media even covering this stuff?

There's a couple of special elections in Georgia and magically there was some emergency redistricting sessions to pull in more voters to tip the scales in the emergency elections

Are we seriously not talking about the recent wikileak?

CIA hacking, a microphone in every home....you know, the Fourth Amendment, civil liberties, privacy, etc? Or can I go back to believing that none of you actually care about civil liberties and you're just mad about your side not winning the election...
03-08-2017 , 11:57 AM
Shut up Tsao, there is literally nothing that can be done about the CIA. There are things that can be done about the health care bill that is a blatant tax cut for the rich and will kill lots of poors.

Is there a good TLDR floating around? I just got back from having surgery and saw a newscast on the leak, but it seemed like almost nothing that wasn't widely known before.

True dementia.

Funny, our local "liberal" Dan thinks we should spend time clutching our pearls because our spy organization can spy instead of being concerned about the proposed health care legislation which is an unabashed tax cut for the top 1%, weird that... Too bad he doesn't have an "friends" that need health care.

All the IT security people I know, all the national security people I know, and all the civil liberties people I know unanimously agree that the CIA Wikileaks stuff is nothing at all.

It is almost as if you are completely ignorant on the topic and are referencing healthcare for no reason.

OK, has the CIA hacked the Samsung TVs of large numbers of Americans with one in order to listen to them?

I mean, who cares, not even worthy discussion! The real question is, how long has wikileaks been working for the Russians! Focus!
