so christie wanted to say FU to some mayor by choking his streets with horrific traffic for a few days.

what if trump wanted to say FU to new york for not supporting him? to say FU to all those liberal elites who thought they were so much smarter than him?

he'd shut down traffic for half of one of the busiest streets in the city, just by refusing to leave his apartment. this is bridgegate x 100 already, and it might last FOUR YEARS wtf lol? the only way he could top this would be if he moved camp david into central park

Can't you just take the subway?
11-30-2016 , 08:04 PM
i agree that it's a great opportunity for new york to lessen her carbon footprint, but charging the NYPD $1m A DAY, and personally profiting off of a $3m deal to force the secret service to rent space in trump tower? are you fine with that? what does anybody outside of the trump family GET out of that deal?
11-30-2016 , 08:06 PM
there were complaints about Chelsea Clinton tying up NYC around her place. Is she evil too?
11-30-2016 , 08:37 PM
Could non white nationalists see those complaints?

Only candidates from low cost and congestion areas should be allowed to run in the future. I assume you are personally affected, sorry dude.

we're talking about him staying at trump tower part time as president instead of moving his family to the white house like every other president has done. and his reasoning for not doing what every other president has done is AT BEST very selfish and most likely another in a long list of scams that he's perpetrated on the government and city of new york. or it could be revenge or some kind of leverage for another business deal in the city, idk! i'm asking the group for their opinions

He's moving to the White House in January. His wife is staying in Manhattan until the spring so his son can finish the school year.

What are you blathering about?

I have bitched about the traffic jam that resulted from Presidential visits or protests or Cruise ship passengers that ****ed up my commute when I lived in downtown Seattle. It was the height of rich people problems like having the ability to live in Manhattan. I would bitch to the locals cause everybody else is not going to give a single **** about those poor Manhattanites.

he is a comic book villain
11-30-2016 , 11:24 PM
So you're complaining about the traffic in NYC...

I watched a reporter obv standing in the middle of Fifth Ave right in front of Trump Tower. It must be a nightmare for traffic, hot damn!

OP speaking New Yorker I do not understand

I wonder how many concern trolling threads we will see in the upcoming months, I mean surely we can discuss our concerns about how much cost and disruption to normal citizens the Trump Administration will cause, I'm sure all concerned posters will agree.

If there is one thing genuine about Trump it is that he is a New Yorker and likes New York.

Yeah, I think this thread is a lot of tilting at windmills. This is about as dumb as the Harvard Professor thread, which may as well read, "in liberal news, liberals do not like Trump". I mean, other than in that light, it's not news worthy.

Its basically just Biff's tower from Back to the Future 2.

Even though he isn't actually the POTUS Trump should have booted the Obamas out of the White House and sent them to Martha's Vineyard. Sad!

Don't worry just be patient. Trump will give you plenty of actual scandals and problems to worry about soon enough. No need to shoot your load early over something like this.
12-02-2016 , 03:10 AM
OP, do you realize he cannot move into the whitehouse yet? Obama is still the president for a month and half or so.

Also, as I was a kid that was forced to move when I didn't want to, I respect the decision to not force their kids to move schools until next year. Allowing your kids to finish the school year with their classmates is probably the best way to do it, when possible. If Melanie or any of the family tried to stay in NY past the end of the school year that would be stupid.

This is not the hill you want to die on. If you hate Trump, I'm sure you can find some much better battles to pick.

That may be, but he's claimed he wants to split his time between Biff's Tower and the White House while president.

It's probably better to just wait and see what happens at this point. Presidents do travel, democrats and republicans included. Obama went to Hawaii a lot (and I'm sure he would have gone more if Hawaii was as close to D.C. as NY is). It's probably best to just save judgement on this topic and wait to see what actually happens. If Trump is not in the white house as much a most presidents are, that will be a huge and completely valid complaint, but no one can make the judgement yet. OP is complaining about someone continuing to live in their home before they are required to move.
