The media tore Obama a new hole for his associations with Wright and Bill Ayers, but McCain has remained relatively unscathed, aside from the Gramm debacle which did not surprise me at all. So I'm compiling a list of people McCain has associated himself with during his political career. It's like the man's a scum magnet, the worst elements of the American right latch onto him like lampreys.

Carl Lindner is a big supporter of McCain and just held a fundraiser for him last month. Lindner used to be the CEO of Chiquita, and under his direction his company funded FARC and ELN, both of which are listed as terrorist groups by the State Department.

No one LIKES McCain, but he will defend him (like others on this forum) because they hate Obama so much.

These are stupid though unless the person picks a scumbag for his cabinet or running mate or something. I knew a guy who was a sex offender pretty well and actually coached with him before he was convicted. Guess I can't run for any offices

By the time I got to this thread, it actually had content, so I'll let it live. However, OP, please include some content worth discussing in your posts in the future. Just saying that McCain associates with some list of alleged scum bags the forum may or may not have heard of without any description of who the people are, why they're scumbags, or how they're associated with McCain does not make for a good thread.
