Gonna be honest. With exception to a handful of songs, I hate Christmas music.

I like ones that don't appear traditionally Christmas-like but do revolve around the theme.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION:
Spoiler:
It’s bullet dance again
Don’t stare at their cranial caves (referring to eyes)
If you look too long they’ll send their angry bullets
Bullet dance in a rain of courage
Reverse bumps you’ll get in the middle of your head
You tried to run when they came – when they came
They had a cannon in each hand, do you see spiritual bonds
The kind that comes when the gun is red hot
Leaves red tracks from Nørrebro to Gentofte
Have stopped thinking about who’s best
Who has the longest gun and who has a safe vest (bulletproof vest)
All the **** (everything) had to burn when they had their small party
In the middle of Nørrebro when the cops made their manifest
So you have to be careful about who steps up (to you)
Is there a badge under their shirt, is it one of them again
The ones who mix in with the crowd, yells loudly and says ”my friend”
Takes your ganja (pot) and your fishing knife, confiscating it

There comes one – Comes one
There comes two more – two more
We’re the ones who open our mouthes and it takes courage
ooooooooooh
It’s bullet dance again
There comes one – Comes one
There comes two more – two more
It’s the ones who shuts down the party, shuts the city down, down, down
oooooooh
it’s bullet dance again

Wuup wuup
It’s the sound of the police
Wuup wuup
It’s the sound of the pigs
They come to your hood and tear down your culture (referencing the Christiania Free State)
Driving around in loaders (type of bulldozer) and makes sure that a fat,
braindead missionary, backwards visionary (referencing leader of Christian sect Faderhuset Ruth Evensen)
Sits on the throne while you do time with criminal prisoners
Christianizing Nørrebro with battle-ready crusaders
But we’re the hemp-bearing, plus we’re no spring chicken
We dance around in a rain of projectiles (hail of bullets)
They shoot from a moped, they shoot from a car
Meanwhile the senile sit the stools to pieces (referencing old, out of touch politicians clinging to power)
Vikings and bedouins are running around and shooting
The ones politicians the duck and chews Ruth (very hard to translate)
For such a 69 they hide their gunpowder (also hard to translate)
They lie in a bed that smells sour of Flora Danica (very old brand of porcelain, representing conservatism and the bourgeoisi)
Dreaming about exterminating the herb from Christiania
Drive it away in a Scania (brand of truck), export to Spain
But it’s a ****ing adventure for Peter Pan(ia)
Even if we have to dance the bullet dance of cold lead
We will never be zombies in this dead town

There comes one – Comes one
There comes two more – two more
We’re the ones who open our mouthes and it takes courage
ooooooooooh
It’s bullet dance again
There comes one – Comes one
There comes two more – two more
It’s the ones who shuts down the party, shuts the city down, down, down
oooooooh
it’s bullet dance again

No longer trust in what they’re doing around the corner
The shadows move in packs while they do pat downs
Hides behind the long arms of the law
No head on their body, no face behind their visor
Sad to see the way the situation has been complicated (“Indviklet), wordplay on ”udviklet”, escalated)
it’s hard against hard (fighting fire with fire), now I stand here but by God I’m not leaving
It will probably end with the ones in grey coming to knock.
coming to knock
coming to knock
coming to knock

But you’re simple, living by signs
The rules of the street, the laws of the street, afraid to mingle
Because they will single him out, string him up
They lose people in the fog, so they stop trying to aim
Need to be smart to spot when they try
To find pot instead of trying to find the ones with a gun
bo bo bo
the ones with a gun
bo bo bo
the ones with a gun
And the ones who shoot, shoot, shoot

Comes one
two more
We’re the ones who open our mouthes and it takes courage
ooooooooooh
It’s bullet dance again
There comes one – Comes one
There comes two more – two more
It’s the ones who shuts down the party, shuts the city down, down, down
oooooooh
it’s bullet dance again

So many things, I could go on
They take your picture (repeat)
It’s bullet dance again (repeat)

Rammstein with a song against nationalism. Warning it's got some Holocaust and Nazi imagery.

Not really.

The video is a brief retelling of German history that portrays the love/hate relationship they have with the country given its past and its potential to be better.

People see the Nazi imagery and assume that it's making a pointed political statement about the far right due to the Nazi symbolism.

You and me
we'll all go down in history
With a sad Statue of Liberty
And a generation that didn't agree

Here's some middle aged socialists singing some folk history from across the pond:

Christy Moore: 'Viva La Quinta Brigada'

Dick Gaughan singing about the Diggers:

And Tom Paine:

And Bonnie Prince Charlie:

I'm particularly fond of this lyric:

Quote:
And tell me, will we never hear the end
Of pure bloody Charlie at Culloden yet again?
Though he ran like a rabbit down the glen
Leaving better folk than him to be butchered.
Are you sittin' in your council house dreaming o' your clan?
Waitin' for the Jacobites tae come an free the land?
Try goin' down the brew with your claymore in your hand
And count a' the princes in the queue.
