This is definitely in the top 3 of filmed concerts I've seen. To the point where I doubt any current band could muster a better performance. There's something specific about the time and the nature of the music business and the genius of some of the players that would be very hard to coalesce in the contemporary world. I feel like they are doing like four new and different things and doing them at the highest level. It's like watching an NBA all-star team play a game at full force while using all their moves. The band members are not even playing music, they're just channeling it.

At what point does "classic rock" become "oldies?" It doesn't seem to scale at all. When I was a kid, my parents listened to "oldies" which was made up of "most any pre-Beatles song which never exceeds 3 minutes in length." Based on that, the 80s stuff I grew up on should be "oldies" now, but it's not.

And I listened to "classic rock" back then starting in like the mid 80s when our town got a classic rock station, which was everything Beatles through the mid 70s. And that same music is still played on classic rock stations today, only now they also play Motley Crue and Ratt and Poison as well.
