Did some further research and turns out you're wrong. They can't search your locked glove box even if they search your car. They need a warrant even if consent is given.
However this might depend on where you live I'm sure and laws in that area. But from what I read a sergeant said they can't.
I am curious if you say no and they use the K9 does that give them all access even if the K9 gives a false positive.
Interesting stuff either way.
The cops only need probable cause to search a vehicle. Locks are irrelevant. A warrant is never needed for any search if consent is given.
That is interesting. I read something that says the opposite but it seems like a complicated issue. So they can rip the **** out of your seats if they want? lol. Oh man, that would really suck.
That's if you're arrested for something other than what's going on in the car. Say you get pulled over and have an outstanding warrant for some previous offense. They can't search your car there cause they don't have cause to. They can check it for inventory purposes and if they find someone in the common areas use it against you but they wouldn't have cause to force locks.
That's entirely different from a drug dog hitting on contraband though.
You gotta a problem with me dude? you're always **** posting at me. You don't have to agree with me but your always attacking my posts and calling me stupid and I'm getting ****ing tired of it.
Videos I saw were around 15 seconds, if someone finds a longer version feel free to post.
edit: Post on Instagram from another kid in class
This is only part of it. But Ok like some may have seen but, I want to clear that he is not Racist she was asked to leave the class for telling the Teacher no she won't put up her phone. He wrote her up for being disrespectful and disobedient he asked her to leave the class she said"No" he called Administrator and he asked her to come with her she told him No. The asked her over and then told her if she doesn't he will call and office to take her out the room. When he arrives he asked her to get up 4 or 5 times she tells him No. He then moves the objects around him and while standing over her he asked one more time then tryed to pick her up but she started fight him. Then he used force to get hands behind her back.
1st quote is from the kid who filmed it, 2nd is from the girl that also got arrested. Wow.
Quote:
"He asked her again, 'will you move, will you move.' She said 'no I have not done anything wrong.; Then he said I'm going to treat you fairly. And she said 'I don't even know who you are.. And that is where it started right there."
Moments later, things turned physical.
"I've never seen anything so nasty looking, so sick to the point that you know, other students are turning away, don't know what to do, and are just scared for their lives," Robinson said. "That's supposed to be somebody that's going to protect us. Not somebody that we need to be scare off, or afraid."
"I was screaming 'What the f, what the f is this really happening?' I was praying out loud for the girl," says Kenny. "I just couldn't believe this was happening I was just crying and he said, since you have so much to say you are coming too. I just put my hands behind my back."
It turns out, Fields is already set to begin a jury trial on January 27, 2016, for a lawsuit filed in federal court by a former student who alleges the deputy “recklessly targets African-American students with allegations of gang membership and criminal gang activity.”
Quote:
Fields was also sued in federal court in 2007 over a 2005 incident when he was a patrol deputy. He was accused of violating the civil rights of army veteran Carlos Martin and his wife Tashiana Anita Martin, after he allegedly assaulted Carlos over a noise complaint and “made ridiculing and suggestive comments that he was going to take Plaintiff Tashiana Anita Martin to a Motel 6.”
Martin claimed that the officer “snapped” after he called him “dude,” before slamming him to the ground. He then deployed an entire canister of pepper spray on the veteran.
“You’re just another notch in my belt,” Fields reportedly told Martin, according to the court documents which you can read here.
His wife ran out to take photos, which they claim that Fields deleted.
The officer was ultimately cleared in court.
Martin was honorably discharged over the arrest and his military career was ruined.
This isn't a big deal given all the shootings, tasers and beatings cops put on innocent people. The kid refused to leave and had to be forcibly removed, could have been less forceful but not a major incident.
Dash cam video has been released in the case of a teen killed by an officer, as officials announce the officer in the shooting will not face state charges, according to a statement from 10th Judicial Circuit Solicitor Chrissy Adams.
Tiller quickly approaches Hammond’s car on the driver’s side with his gun drawn and repeatedly orders Hammond to stop and to show his hands. Hammond then puts his car in drive in order to attempt to flee the scene. Hammond ignores Lt. Tiller’s clear instructions to stop and show his hands. Hammond then puts his car in drive in order to attempt to flee the scene. Hammond then turns the car hard left toward Lt. Tiller resulting in Lt. Tiller being face-to-face with Hammond at the driver’s window. The dash cam video shows Hammond’s vehicle veering toward Lt. Tiller and accelerating rapidly. Tiller back pedals a few steps to avoid being knocked down by Hammond’s car and is seen pushing off the vehicle as it veers towards him. The dash cam video shows Tiller’s feet going underneath the car at the approximate time the shots are fired. This can also be seen in the still photos provided by the FBI lab. Two shots are fired in rapid succession. The first shot can be heard almost immediately after Tiller pushes off the car and when his body is still exposed to danger from the vehicle. The second shot immediately follows. The car accelerated with such force that a concrete curb was damaged as well as Hammond’s front passenger-side tire. Tiller is heard on the dash cam video seconds after the shooting saying Hammond tried to hit him with the car. The situation rapidly unfolded and, as evidenced by the dash cam video, Tiller was forced to decide whether or not to fire his weapon in less than three seconds.”
To my untrained eye it looks like the cop jumped in front of the already moving car, the jumped out of the way and fired a shot, but sure.
A Benton Township patrol officer who was driving 30 miles above the speed limit when he hit and killed a pedestrian last month is being charged with a misdemeanor
The charge of moving violation causing death has a maximum sentence of one year in jail.
The Michigan Legislature did away with the charge of negligent homicide several years ago, Sepic said, and in its place offered prosecutors two options for charging a driver who has killed somebody in an accident. One option is the moving violation causing death; the other is reckless driving causing death, a 15-year felony.
I've got to assume the 15 year is the maximum, otherwise that's a huge divergence.
