This is unbelievably funny.

Mpls. Mayor Flashes Gang Sign with Convicted Felon; Law Enforcement Outraged

Video of news report

Quote:
The spokesperson also says the man in the photo is well regarded by the nonprofit that employs him and the mayor is simply "pointing at him" in the photo. Retired Minneapolis Police officer, Michael Quinn, who also managed the department's Internal Affairs Unit, says the photo is "disappointing because it puts police officers at risk."

When asked to respond to the mayor's statement that she is just "pointing at him." He said, "she can't be that naive. I cannot imagine."

"She is legitimizing these people. She is legitimizing gangs who are killing our children in Minneapolis and I just can't believe it. It hurts," Quinn said.

He is a convicted felon, that's true, but that Mayor knew that because he works for a group that works to restore voting rights to felons.

Word on the street is Minneapolis PD is severely butthurt over her making them wear body cameras.

Quote:
Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges said Wednesday that some police officers have abused their power, and she vowed to make repairing the department’s reputation a cornerstone of her administration.

Oh wow. It gets better.

That's the Chief of Police on the left.

And apparently they got major police problems in Minneapolis.

Demoted police captains sue Minneapolis chief

The video is pretty hard to distinguish from the Onion. "Will be mayor side with the police or the gangs?", "Now the gangs have something to flash at each other and say, "Now even the mayor is with us"

Seems to have struck a chord. Pointergate has been in the the top 10 trends on Twitter since last night.

Story has it all as I believe I see an SEIU jacket there.

It just got pointed out to me that they put the 5 Eyewitness News tag on the Neighborhoods Organizing for Change sticker on the Mayor's sweatshirt and blurred out the same thing on the man's shirt.

It's almost as if they didn't want people to know why she was with him. Weird.

We'll get a (expletive) search warrant," the video shows Glans telling the young man, who was questioning the deputy's insistence that he be allowed to search the car.

"I wasn't in my car when all this was happening," the young man says. "Like, why don't you want to search, like, my house or something."

The video depicts Glans becoming frustrated as he says: "Let me see your (expletive) keys."

"Why?" the young man asks. "You can't do that."

"Because we're searching your (expletive) car, that's why," Glans says.

The deputy then apparently slaps the young man as he says: "You want to (expletive) resist?" The slap can be heard but is not captured on the video because the camera was pointed downward.

At that point, it appears from sounds in the video that Glans grabs the young man's car keys and tosses them to someone off screen, as he says: "Search the (expletive) car."

It's unclear from the video if another deputy is at the scene. Glans then tells the young man, who remains calm throughout the ordeal, that "if you've got nothing to hide in there ... we'll be on our (expletive) merry way."

The young man filming the incident tells the sergeant that what just happened was "intense" and asks the officer if he's going strike him next. The sheriff's sergeant responds that he could "rip your (expletive) head off and (expletive) down your neck"

"You like that, huh? I can get a lot more intense," the sergeant tells the young man

Not to mention she's holding a cake shaped like the pentagram Satanic symbol, which represents turning man upside down to descend to hell and the goat head of Baphomet. Unbelievable! Who's electing these people?

2) One of the local news stations got in contact with officer Glans to ask for a comment about the YouTube video that is being reported about in the quoted story. He says that if he had to do things over again he'd do them the same way...uh, unless he had known about being recorded, then he'd have behaved differently because that "looked bad".

You would probably be grumpy too if your name was Officer Glans.

Scumbag cop may have killed his gf and there may have been a cover up that may sent an innocent man to death

https://firstlook.org/theintercept/2...-innocent-man/

Personally finding beer cars at the crime scene with the DNA of a friend of the scumbag officer seems so creepy and a huge red flag

Ferguson cops can get away with murder, but their kryptonite is a pregnant woman pulling a cops pubes out for evidence while he rapes her in the boiler room at the Ferguson jail.

Its pretty well established that drug dogs are about as effective as Clever Hans, but this is pretty funny. Well, its pretty established everwhere except like courtrooms where peoples lives are decided I guess.

D.C. police have made plans for millions of dollars in anticipated proceeds from future civil seizures of cash and property, even though federal guidelines say “agencies may not commit” to such spending in advance, documents show.

The city’s proposed budget and financial plan for fiscal 2015 includes about $2.7 million for the District police department’s “special purpose fund” through 2018. The fund covers payments for informants and rewards.

Half of the more than $5.5 million in cash seizures were for $141 or less, with more than a thousand for less than $20.
