The Vancouver real estate market and their casinos have been used almost exclusively for money laundering lately. I'm pretty sure they brought in laws last year to clamp down on this because there were entire blocks of multi million dollar places not lived in.

I'm pretty sure America has federal banking regulations where banks are supposed to take all possible measures to ensure they aren't hiding or moving money around that is the result of corruption but lol that anyone in banking gives a **** about any of that, I assume you'd have to name your LLC AngolanOilKickbacks or ThisIsHowKushnerAskedForHisBribe for anyone to even bat an eye.

The connection to the big picture is that there's always the possibility that one of countries involved in the international money laundering crack down on the corruption or the investors lose an internal power struggle and the real estate bubble pops.

I didn't mean so much strictly anti money laundering laws, but apparently BC instituted a 15% tax for foreign home buyers and another tax for any homes not being lived in.
The day before the tax went into effect foreigners bought $850 million worth of real estate.

NPR's interview with Sean Spicer is the most embarrassing thing I've ever listened to.

Sigh. The next thing you know Sean Spicer's politics are the most liberal thing ever just because he appeared on NPR.

This thread was a fun read:

HSBC literally (used correctly) made special deposit windows for drug cartels.

I bow to none in my condemnation of Senate Republicans, but they have occasionally voted on measures like this that don't get much attention but signal to the WH that some boundaries do still exist. Even that traitor McConnell has likely told Trump that firing Mueller would end his presidency. Hell, when Trump is gone I'm sure we'll learn what heroes Senate Republicans were in this dark time (they'll be wrong, of course).

Of course they are. If small time U.S. officials are getting "interviewed" by Russia, they know that they could be next.

Nothing more than self-preservation. Don't give the GOP credit for having morals under any circumstances.

Deep down inside, the GOP is stoked that Trump is meeting Putin in the U.S. shortly after they zeroed the election security budget. Basically, a win-win situation:

1. Increase likelihood of GOP winning
2. Allows GOP to profess election rigging on account of there being no election security funds if they lose

Either way, it leads to the further weakening of our democracy.

It's a nonbinding resolution. It signals that they were unwilling to actually pass a binding one, which is the opposite of signaling a barrier.

A non-binding resolution? Like the same day the GOP torpedoed getting trump's interpreter under oath to ask what trump and putin talked about?

Well tickle my balls and call me Debby!

which netted them a basement suite on dallas rd in victoria, a two bdrm condo in point grey, and a fifties t-down in west van.

What would a binding resolution be? They could pass a law and over-ride a veto assuming the House feels the same way. I guess it could be technically illegal until the SCOTUS undid it.

Just saying hi. Don’t sweat losing your wallet I lose my wallet all the time. It’s a phone call a trip to the dmv and the bank. When I say all the time I’ve probably lost my wallet 10-15 times.

WARNING! SCAM ALERT! Be on the lookout for this girl and her friend. They are hanging out around the meijer and Wal-Mart parking lots. When you are putting your groceries away they ask you for a ride to McDonald's.They*are very convincing and very hot! Once in your car this one takes her clothes off and starts climbing all over you, while she keeps you busy, the other one takes your wallet.I've had mine taken on the 7th,8th, 10th and twice yesterday.probably two more times tomorrow. Wal-Mart has wallets for $2.99,but I found some at the dollar store for .99¢ so I bought all they had. These two harlets not only take your wallet, but you never even make it to McDonald's so I've already lost 11lbs.keep a lookout for them ( I find lunch time and around 5:30 the best times)

Lol, You know, I’ve never lost my wallet at McDonald’s. Before I make the politics forum too high brow I have noticed that posting here takes up too much of my mental faculties and so it’s time to go for awhile. Like I have trouble even concentrating on stocking dairy and rotating milk and making dairy orders.
In all seriousness I had a billy Madison scenario about two years ago where if I graduated community college I could get some things. But I couldn’t . School isn’t for me poker forums aren’t for me. The only thing I’m good at is doing silly things and making people laugh so I guess I just need to be pretty ****ing funny. I’m also decent at cooking and cleaning and arguing and debating so maybe I can go to a law firm or something.
07-20-2018 , 04:01 AM
Also in all seriousness not only has my attention span gotten too thin to read books but also to watch hour long shows or movies. I don’t think that’s a good thing
07-20-2018 , 04:03 AM
Six also seriously and I shouldn’t say anything else but know this: my family was worse than her family to me.
07-20-2018 , 04:25 AM
take a break, buddy. we'll miss you, but u come back refreshed! no worries
