Sooo much good food in Houston. From mediterranean to sushi to Vietnamese to of course Mexican etc. Even vegan spots. You got spots you like already or nah?

I ate tacos at Torchy's today in Kingwood and watched game 2 of the WC. It was good. I decided not to mess with hip areas and just drive around in the suburbs. I felt like that would be a more authentic Houston experience.

I saw my old subdivision in Kingwood - Kingwood Lakes Apartments. I guess it was under 7' of water and they're still redoing the apartments.

I may have a day to kill in Galveston tomorrow.

Lest I have ever given the impression that Australia is free from struggles with right-wing idiots, I woke up to this from our right-wing state government in the local newspaper today:

I can't imagine any circumstance in which I'd get busted, and being middle-class and well spoken I wouldn't be shocked if I got let off with a warning. It'll be some poor bastard up in the dirt-poor northern suburbs where they bother to enforce it.

Hey guise remember when we spent circa 2007-2012 debating whether DOCTOR Ron Paul M.D. was a genuine racist or merely played one in newsletters?

Also it's a Ben Garrison cartoon because of course it is.

I'd say these guys are barely trying to hide it anymore, but DOCTOR Paul did replace the image in his tweet so I mean I guess they're still trying to hide it a little bit?

Anyway sometimes you'll hear pundits say Sarah Palin was the canary in the coal mine for Trumpism but sharp observers know it was Ron ****ing Paul and he was really the forebearer of the movement. 90% of Ron Paul Blimp passengers migrated straight into r/TheDon without missing a beat.
