I think he doesnt actually care at all about the supreme court, so by nominating judges in a proper manner here he gets to appease the conservative community and tell them hey look what i did for you. What he cares about is to be able to put in chronies into his own admin, people that goes along with his everyday corruption and violation of ethics rules etc.

I think even Trump instinctively understands that he gets to steal, they get their judges, fair trade because neither group cares about the other's priority.

It was so obvious what was going to happen. Dude might as well have had "Chump" tattooed on his forehead.

Was basically that. Some 23yo woman just stepped out into traffic looking at her phone and he hit her doing 28 in a 30 zone and killed her. He said he'd seen footage from a nearby 25fps camera and the woman is visible as a hazard for 5 frames before the impact.

I felt kind of sorry for him because the same thing nearly happened to me. Rounding a corner back home which was blind because of bushes on the median strip (have to translate to American here I think, is it "traffic island"?) and suddenly two people materialised out on the road. I swerved hard and must have missed the one girl by like an inch, doing the speed limit of about 35mph. If I'd hit her it would not have been my fault, it's not a place where pedestrians should be.

That said, I don't want to hear this guys gruesome story when he's driving me around.
