Yeah he's obviously elite, but it's like the thirty people in the same room sharing a birthday - someone good is going to run **** hot in every WSOP. It's his year and good for him. He's one of like ten people in Vegas that didn't get any of my money July LC Thread **Survivor White House Edition**

Just flew Southwest, don't think ever have before. They have managed to come up with and implement the absolute worst possible way to board an aircraft. Kind of impressive.

Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has apologised to a British cave diver he called "pedo guy" in a row over the cave rescue in northern Thailand.

He said he had "spoken in anger" after Vern Unsworth ridiculed a mini-submarine he had commissioned for the rescue effort as a "PR stunt".

"His actions against me do not justify my actions against him, and for that I apologise," Mr Musk said.

Mr Unsworth has said he may sue for being called a "paedophile".

No. He's a scammer and a narcissistic moron. The only strength in his arsenal is a nitty style and obnoxious image that inexplicably works like kryptonite against amateurs in big fields.

I had no idea they still had poker tournaments. Did anyone ever figure out how to play a pair of nines?

Open limp in EP, flat the button raise, then donk shove the flop.

Donors over party

Watching the WSOP final table really hammered home how tournaments are just huge flip festivals. lol tournaments, most everyone is broke with like 5% of themselves, the whole poker economy is one big Ponzi scheme.

I don't think this is quite true, but I think it's pretty close to the set of decent or better players flipping for the money that comes from horrible players.

It's actually the fastest way to load and airplane in current use.

Wouldn't the best, by far, be assigned seating, boarding windows then middles then aisles, back to front? I suspect this doesn't happen because lol morons want to board first with "status"

On the ponzi scheme side - I dealt the WSOP back in 2002 so this is dated, but EVERYBODY was into everybody else for thousands upon thousands of dollars. Seemed like the poker economy was funded by 5 - 10 business people at the top that had lucrative side businesses and loaned out money to players. Sort of like a closed payday loan circle.

I don't think people want to be bossed around this much, but if the seat numbers were mapped on the floor where the line is for boarding people could stand on their seat number and you can order them in the most efficient way.

Never understood the appeal of boarding first. I want to spend the absolute bare minimum of my time in an airplane.

Planes are awesome and I want a window seat, but it's not worth standing in line for 30 minutes before the plane even boards. I don't think window seats are that hard to get anyway. Don't the people who race in generally want aisle seats?

Mainly to guarantee that you get overhead space.

Most of the time I just jump on with the last 10 or so people, though that's not a great idea if the flight's full, you have a carry-on, and there's no assigned seating.

Likely to remain so until they introduce cattle prods.

In a nice demonstration of not being hipocritical tankies Democracy Now is pretty much the only place I'm hearing reporting on Nicaragua. Maybe FOX is covering it?
07-18-2018 , 12:22 PM
It just shows how the press gets their marching orders from either party. No one is spoonfeeding them an angle on Nicaragua, so it's not happening.
