omg omg omg

Played a 1st of July gig at a friends party with the band-o-erino. Was ****ing great! Made me feel alive.

*in my best PJ Harvey voice*

I think my song about the dead children went over really well! They really seemed to like it!

We played a couple Nirvana songs and then this drunk uncle guy would not stop drunk singing Nirvana MTV live songs! Guy was a ****ing blast!

Had a scary moment with an old close talker though He came in and started talking about equipment he got at a garage sale and our singer came and rescued me. Was quite the scare. At least he wasn't a close talker with a grab of the arm. Those bastards want to talk your ear off and not let you go!

We have a song about the red man killing the white man off, and we rocked it in a room full of white men.

Christie's a moral imbecile, guy was sharp enough to become a federal prosecutor, but can't see one step ahead when it comes to his own behaviour.

The train scene from The Sting is some fun movie poker.

Should have called the movie "The String."

Lol. If you watch the whole scene, the game isn't even table stakes. Entertaining, though.

It crossed my mind to link zikzak's film to an old friend but I suspect he's gone over to the dark side. It wouldn't do any good.

Possibly period-appropriate. A lot of the games Herbert O. Yardley described weren't played with table stakes.

Seems like he's playing it pretty optimal to me. Misused government resources when he was popular that no one cared. Now he's so unpopular that it really doesn't matter what he does, so he's just YOLO-ing it up.

Wonder if I could get a well paying utoobz channel running by bringing back hating on catholics.

I think every decision made by every player on the river was wrong.

Happy Fourth, from a past that knew the future.

I don't have anything to back this up, but the story floating around new jersey is that he was always kind of a loser who was dragged along by his wife's connections.

My high school poker game in the early 1980s didn't play table stakes. At least people could have to get whatever was in their wallet. I don't remember what happened if people didn't have enough on them to cover a bet, they might have had to borrow it. We weren't playing no-limit, so it wasn't such a big deal really.
