Since when is 120k upper middle class anyway? Like back in 1980, but now? Lol?

That was their income with her largely not working. She said she made whatever she basically wanted where ever she wanted working whatever hours she wanted. 80%tile is ~100k btw.

Didn't realize there was a sliding class scale based on how hard you think someone works

Two meter maids get married and Ikes thinks they are solidly upper middle class, lol

Is there anything in San Diego I should be doing other than waiting on a beach and swimming in the ocean?
07-09-2014 , 01:01 PM
Applying for meter maid jobs

Good to see the House reversed its stance on mandated disclosure of privately funded travel. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...l-requirement/

Yeah, you didn't read the story. She worked more before the kids. Now you're just hand waving away stats

Is she supposed to strangle her kid when her husband loses his job? Do you understand how time works?

Lol, yeah i was gonna say a ton of married couples that make 120k combined are not what we think of as upper middle class.
07-09-2014 , 01:12 PM
And there are only two kinds of people who call themselves upper middle class: rich people who don't want to be called rich and self-aggrandizing middle class folks
07-09-2014 , 01:16 PM
Sorry we can't help feed you and your children because of stats, we disagree with your lifestyle, oh and you made fairly common financial mistakes.

It has been judged, no soup for you.

They showed great restraint for upper middle class folks by getting a 240k house as at the peak of the real estate market.

That's a solid majority of the population though.

Yes I do. It's irresponsible to have children with apparently no savings and they clearly had plenty of assets to liquidate before going on food stamps. There's a mighty big gap between 'can't feed my children' and 'own a house and mercedes'

Oh for sure, which is why they were dead 'broke' in like 2 months.

It's amazing that ikes thinks it's irresponsible of upper middle class people to buy a cheap house. Maybe his definitions of class need a little updating?

What?! Are you even reading Ike's posts? He's been saying the exact opposite. He said they were upper middle class from the beginning and has been rightly criticizing them for their exorbitant spending.

You want people to be homeless and without transport before they can get wic? I mean they were under water on the house.

If they went bankrupt they wouldn't lose their house and car. You want wic to be MORE stringent than bankruptcy? How are they going to get a lease and a car loan with no income?
