I figure someone here knows the answer to this, so I can save some time looking into it.

Are all the Jordan defenders conceding that the abuse happened and just claiming that he didn't know about it. Or are they claiming there was no abuse for him to know about.

Or are they just being vague on purpose, so they can pick which one of those sounds better after more facts come out.

It is all deep state lies, obviously. Look at the timing. Also just locker room talk. And its only (checks latest media reports) 7 people saying he knew about it.

A complete lack of shame is the biggest political gift imaginable for Republicans. Their voters simply don't care.

I haven't seen anyone claiming that the abuse didn't happen, even members of Strauss's family. OSU's statement suggests widespread abuse:

Quote:
Since the April 5 announcement of the allegations and investigation, the university has learned that during his time at Ohio State, Dr. Strauss treated student-athletes from several sports, worked at the medical center, and the student health center. To date, the investigative team has received confidential reports from former Ohio State varsity men student-athletes affiliated with cheerleading, fencing, football, gymnastics, ice hockey, swimming, volleyball and wrestling. We are sharing this information to encourage our community past and present to come forward.

It didn't happen. Obamaphones. He didn't know about it. It's not that big a deal anyway. MS-13. Democrats do it too, all the time, and you never act outraged about them! Bill Clinton. Locker Room talk. Al Franken. Deep State/Fake news conspiracy with Crisis Actors, etc.

Lololol at acting like they remotely care about having a coherent story.

So 2 wrestlers say Hellickson intervened. Hellickson has come to the defense of Jordan and said neither of them ever knew anything. But he said that AFTER having already admitted on tape that he had heard about the doctor's behavior and intervened. I don't have a link to the tape, but that's according to the "americablog" story linked ITT.

Oddly, the CNN story says this is the fifth wrestler to come forward. In fact, he’s the 9th.
Is that intentional by CNN? Are they doing Jordan a favor?

The video apparently isn't quite that clear about what Hellickson claims to have heard:

An eleven-minute video “Scarlet X” has been produced that includes four people’s graphic allegations of abuse by Strauss. That video has not been officially released. Former head coach Russ Hellickson is in that video and said he told Strauss he was being “too hands on” with students.
I believe that Hellickson has also claimed not to have received any reports of abuse. At best, it seems he's trying to thread a pretty thin needle.

No idea re CNN but it's odd that at the end of last week it was (reportedly) 5 accusers, then yesterday it was 7, and today it was 9, like they skipped 6 and 8.

CNN: Ex-OSU wrestler calls Jordan a 'phony,' says he knew of doctor's misconduct
"I remember coming up and saying, 'Strauss held my balls longer than normal.' He just snickered,” the former wrestler claimed, speaking of a conversation at the time with Jordan.

The former wrestler also recalled a time when he said he met with Jordan and several athletes who were all "clumped together” and he said he told Jordan "something to the effect of 'his hands are cold as ****; he checked out every hair on my ball,'" in reference to Strauss.

According to the former wrestler, Jordan said he had "nothing to do with this" before walking away.

This. Also a very conservative community.

Jim Jordan is a scumbag and really needs to go down for this.

The only reason he has traction in denying this is the original articles quoted a pair of wrestlers who are know liars and scammers in the wrestling community. Fortunately, more victims have stepped forward, but this has given these *******s a ground to stand on that scares me into thinking he could survive this.

Let's make "Freedom Caucus" synonymous with sexual abuse

Because when you're writing fake news, the first thing you do is interview 100 people.

When silence looks way less guilty than the **** you're saying, maybe it's best to stay off twitter. Amazing that his PR firm doesn't coach him better.
07-11-2018 , 07:01 PM
Why tho? Giving his supporters something to latch on to is probably more important than anything else.
07-11-2018 , 08:12 PM
Do you think there's any chance that if when this story broke Jordan was very apologetic, talked about how it was a different time and he deeply regrets it etc, that he could have shaken it off and kept his job? I guess the tactic is deny to the death now, but I'm trying to imagine this if he handled it differently.

Jordan’s Boss, The Head Coach, Admits He Knew
To be clear, head coach Hellickson is not one of Jordan’s accusers. He’s one of Jordan’s biggest defenders. He has repeatedly defended Jordan and signed the open letter assembled by the right-wing PR firm which an anonymous funder has retained to attack Jordan’s accusers. “None of us saw or heard of abuse of OSU wrestlers,” one portion of the letter reads. “The well-being of student-athletes was all of our concern. If we had heard of any abuse, we would have spoken up.”

But Hellickson has a problem.

Before Jordan’s involvement in the story broke on July 3rd, one of Jordan’s accusers, Mike DiSabato interviewed Hellickson on videotape. The video has not been publicly released but it’s been shown to multiple news outlets, including CNN and USAToday. On that tape, Hellickson admits to precisely what Jordan is vociferously denying.

On the tape, Hellickson said that many of the wrestlers were “uncomfortable” with Dr. Strauss’s behavior and that he had confronted Strauss about it. There was Strauss’s lingering in the showers with wrestlers and fondling them during weigh-ins.

When Strauss told Hellickson that he showered with the wrestlers as well, Hellickson told him: “Yeah. Not for an hour, doc.

Hellickson also told Strauss he was “much too hands on” with the wrestlers. In response, Strauss told him he was just being “thorough.” (In a discussion of the tape Wednesday morning on CNN, a CNN journalist who has watched the tape said the being “hands on” was during weigh-ins.) Critically, Hellickson said he’d communicated his concerns about the shower situation to University administrators. “Certainly, all of my administrators recognized that it was an issue for meI’m sure that I talked to all of them on numerous occasions about my discontent with the environment.”

Anonymously funding the defense of the coverup of sexual abuse. I see that the tax cuts are already making their way back into the economy.
