Nothing attracts schemers and gamers more than a financial opportunity. That crypto currencies have zero oversight makes them the perfect Petri dish for shenanigans.

Anyone who is not an absolute expert in financial investments should tread carefully as you are swimming in waters with hundreds of thousands of sociopathic wolves.

That house looks like the location for the next real world.

Just an update: the Bitcoin Reddit has gone from "funny schadenfreude" to "oh, this is actually depressing to read".

poker tip of the day: defending T4s in bb vs CO is ill-advised and not going to make any money vs a reasonable player. getting 2.25 to 1 on a 3x means you need to realize something like 31ish% of the 35% raw equity that T4s has against a standard CO open range in order to break even on the defend and you're not going to do that with no connectedness and **** for high card value against somebody who plays reasonably well postflop

Exactly what happened on The Motley Fool boards in 2000. The same posters who would spike the football in your face every time their JDSU went up, and refused to listen to reason - turn into sad sacks that after you kick them once or twice it's not even fun anymore.

That library is tacky AF, what are you guys even saying?

1. There's no place to put books because of the statue alcoves and locations to hang an Art.
2. There's no place to sit down and read a ****ing book.
3. If you're a rich person and you build a multistory library without a wrought-iron spiral staircase or a rolling library ladder, what are you even doing.
01-23-2018 , 10:15 AM
There's a chair in the picture.
01-23-2018 , 10:20 AM
Are you referring to this?

Have you ever sat down in a chair to read a book before?
01-23-2018 , 10:22 AM
Seems like it would be an easy fix to drag a comfy chair down there.

Where would you put it? The best location for a big chair seems to be that bulge in the railing on the second level, which is probably OK (although there's no ready place for a reading lamp), but it's clear that the place wasn't designed to actually read or store books in.

Just got off the phone with my stepdad. His cousin's grandson died last night from the ****ing flu. Nine years old. I can't even imagine
01-23-2018 , 10:46 AM
TIL Bobman has never sat in a real library with way worse chairs than that one.

Also, lol, saw that on the BTC reddit after the Trolly post. Those guys are diehards.

As far as tacky houses go, that one looks pretty classy to me, versus, say, Trump's gold-plated tacky house.

I didn't know about Tether! It's amazing!

"Give me your money and I'll hold it for you. On the blockchain!"
"Can I get the money back?"
"...Sure!"
"Why are you doing this? How do you expect to profit other than by stealing all my money?"
"BLOCKCHAIN!"
"Oh, OK. Sold!"

If you click the link , you'll see that it's a very nice property with a few bad design decisons. The fact that it could be so easily improved by hiring a better interior designer combined with the underlying good qualities of the property spacious wide areas , nice pool and bar areas, relatively good location makes me think someone will get quite the steal.

I would guess that if you polled political casuals you would find that 100% of them could not tell you the difference between "blockchain" and "chain migration" and think they are the same thing.
01-23-2018 , 11:31 AM
blockchain migration stole my jerb

I missed the link. Wow!

sometimes I randomly think of that "you liked a fake verrit insulting me" guy and wonder how his verrit authentication website is faring. Has anyone ever legit seen a verrit in the wild? Like have you seen someone unironically share a verrit on social media? If you did did you go to verrit.com to verify the verrit?
01-23-2018 , 12:46 PM
Are you being paid by verrit to sneakily promote them? I forgot that site even existed.
