It's especially dumb because the first reports were of Paul's injuries and their severity, so of course no one's worried about him. Does it make you a better person if you start with "Wow, so broken ribs suck huh?"

Thoughts and prayers for Rand Paul's broken rib.

It's very concerning.

Police in Portland, OR regularly go through people's trash without any probable cause, on the theory that once people put it out on the street, it becomes public rather than private property. After leadership defended this practice, a local weekly decided to do it to the Mayor and Chief of Police. Unfortunately they didn't find anything very salacious, but their targets did get entertainingly salty about it.

The learning curve is steep, but the sense of accomplishment you get from just getting something into orbit or even landing on the moon is almost unique among videogames. Plus you will legitimately learn a lot about space travel along the way. Some people go completely nuts and build moon bases that harvest fuel to support Mars landings, but I've managed to pull myself away before getting obsessed.

Just found out about LibriVox, which has thousands of free public domain audiobooks. Haven’t tried it yet, but audiobooks rock for long car rides or repetitive work.

Missouri governor is accused of having an affair, which isn't too bad. The part where he tied her up, blindfolded her, and then took pictures of her telling her he was taking them to blackmail her is very bad though.

I've listened to several books from librivox. I encourage using it, but I found my library has downloadable audiobooks and use that now instead. The readers at LibriVox are sometimes good, but sometimes not.

He's also too dumb to understand how blackmail works.

On the whole I would say there is simply an echo chamber of anger in america from many different kinds of people . Most people just don't have empathy for people who disagree with them and practice different cultures. The left hates the right more than ever and the right hates the left more than ever. This can't continue or else something very bad will happen in america.
01-11-2018 , 02:01 AM
The echo chamber isn't just one echo chamber, it's from what richard has calleec narrowcasting.

I don't hate anybody.

"Both sides are the same "
There's a lot more sides than both sides in politics right now. And they all seem to hate each other.

The entire socio-economic structure of the US is increasingly devoted to extracting every shred of productivity from residents while distributing the barest minimum of the benefits back. Of course the sick need to work if they want medical care. From each according to their maximum ability at all times, no matter what, until they die; to each according to only their most basic needs, sometimes, as long as they don't misbehave, and it's on credit with high interest rates.

Here's another one to continue your rage:

Syrian Airstrikes:

Democrats:

38% supported Obama doing it
37% supported Trump doing it

GOP:

22% support Obama doing
86% support Trump doing it
