I don't blame you for getting along with him though, citizen.

If he's reading this he's more irked by the suggestion that he was the bullied and not the bully than by anything anyone else said about him.

This will certainly end well for him.

no he didnt. his views were not unique. they were run of the mill deplorable pos racist, sexist, elitist views.

S&S's lawyers must have run around their offices high fiving each other when they heard this.

The idea he may be reading this furiously and be unable to respond is a thing of beauty.

Also water does not rise significantly with warming. You can do your own experiment on this in your kitchen with heat and a flask. My daughter did it for a science fair project with flasks. Now take that rise and calculated it mathematically as it spreads across the globe which thins it out over such a large sphere. It's barely significant.

Supreme Court to hear death penalty appeal from prisoner convicted by a racist juror

The juror's comments:

Quote:
“The Freemans are what I would call a nice Black family,” Mr. Gattie wrote. “In my experience I have observed that there are two types of black people. 1. Black folks and 2. N****rs.”

“Because I knew the victim and her husband’s family and knew them all to be good black folks, I felt Tharpe, who wasn’t in the ‘good’ black folks category in my book, should get the electric chair for what he did,” Mr. Gattie wrote.

“After studying the Bible,” he added, “I have wondered if black people even have souls.”
Story is notable because of what a few of our wise SCOTUS justices thought about the importance of this:

Quote:
Justice Clarence Thomas, joined by Justices Samuel A. Alito Jr. and Neil M. Gorsuch, filed a lengthy dissent accusing the majority of “ceremonial hand-wringing.”

He did not need to be bulled to be an ass. I treated him ok until it was not returned. All you need to do is challenge his views.

The smart kids used to pick on me in school when i read out loud...at least at first.

It‘s only the ice covering land-masses you shouldn‘t tell him about.

I could be wrong, it's not like I speak for wil or know him well but he told me he was the one being bullied and seemed upset about it.

Wil implied to me he wasn't the racist but was being bullied on here by racists for being Korean.

He also said AA are brainwashed into seeing racism where is does not exist.

I think it's pretty hard to thread the needle and say someone thinks THIS and also has average views.
01-08-2018 , 05:07 PM
His views are not average they are somewhat common. Ive heard the arguments back in the nineties.

Actual racism got solved somewhere in the past and African Americans are just playing the victim card or deluded and brainwash by libs. Its all good now.

This is an old argument and not unique.

O yeah I've heard that argument and it's rediculously wrong.

i was at a live poker game and something came up and i made a declarative statement like, "you'd have to be a moron to represent yourself in court even if you were a lawyer". and a guy pipes up he goes, "i represented myself in court and i'm not a lawyer", and the table got kinda quiet cause finally something interesting was said at a poker table, and i go, "so how'd it work out for ya?" and he says, "well that was the time i got convicted" and everyone including him laughs immediately

I dont want to get into the wil bashing. You seem to have a soft spot for him which is fine. He did take a lot of heat. But he gave off a lot too. Reap what you sow Karma?
01-08-2018 , 05:20 PM
Just read his meltdown during the bet with LetsGambool and that should set you straight.

I think 'difference' is even more generally accurate than 'weakness'.

As a dude who knows a thing or two about child resilience I'd tell you the one protective factor that isn't significantly moderated by culture or anything else is having consistently positive and loving relations in life; better yet, having loving and attentive adults who are there day in and out and got your back, even if it's just for a couple hours after getting home from work.

A little high quality positive attention on a regular basis goes a long way towards compensating for the various risk factors we know all to well.
