I guess you can include guys from Blue Collar Comedy as conservative comedians. My Trump-loving parents went to one of their shows and thought it was great. Says a lot about them, none of it all that good.
His whole act is mocking Hispanics and Muslims, without a hint of irony or sensitivity, to crowds of white people. It's mildly offensive.

You got to take it the same from both sides of the spectrum when it comes to stand-up. I can't laugh at jokes about priests molesting children from Frankie Boyle and get offended when Dunham makes jokes about Muslims and Hispanics. It's hypocritical.

I mean if you're the type of person who gets offended by jokes, stick with Gaffigan and Seinfeld. Leave the Stanhopes* of the world alone.

*Not saying that Dunham is in the same league as Stanhope. Just that they are both not clean comedians.

whoa now, making jokes about pedophilic priests is hardly on the same level as making jokes about the color of peoples' skin

like i can understand how joking about pedophilia is distasteful or offensive or w/e but pedophiles kinda deserve to be ridiculed/mocked/treated like scum of the earth. nobody deserves that same treatment simply for having brown/black skin.

He's talking about making jokes where it is assumed that all priests are pedo's. Discrimination of blacks has a far worse history than the pedo priests thing so I could see why racial jokes are considered more offensive

That's what the Catholic Church wants us to believe. Not all priests are pedos, but all kids are willing participants.

Now, the door is closed. Gen. John Kelly, the new White House chief of staff, has taken control in dramatic fashion, and is already imposing unmistakable signs of order after just a few days on the job:

Even POTUS appears to be trying to impress his four-star handler, picking up his game by acting sharper in meetings and even rattling off stats.

Unanimous last night in the pub that we (in the UK) will miss him entertaining us too - like an even cheesier version of Pacino's Tony Montana.

Yeah but who watches stand-up and ponders the history behind the premise of a joke?

I'm only saying that you can't create separate rules for comedy based on perceived political ideology. If anything the great thing about stand-up is that you don't have those restrictions holding a person back from making jokes about whatever they want.

I haven't come across a right-wing comedian who is funny. It isn't because they're conservative. It's that they don't tell good jokes. Sometimes they don't tell jokes at all. Many times they just make politically charged statements that people laugh or cheer about if they agree with it instead of setting up a joke with a premise and punchline like an actual comic.

There's plenty of material to be made fun of. Just a matter of finding somebody who can work it into a show.

Seinfeld's entire career was mocking stupid people who were too prideful to realize how stupid they were. The reason he's considered a genius comic is because of sentences like the one you just typed.

Also, Gaffigan is offensively unfunny.
