Iran Protests - Page 2 - Politics and Economics

Iran is a country full of young people, many of whom are in touch with/aware of the larger world and have stifled aspirations. The leadership knows damn well that they go into power by riding popular discontent. This sort of thing has to freak them out. It's all fun and games until you're hanging from the lamp posts.

I think he wants to stifle protest with his own stretchers and rioting charges in one instant and supports protesting in another. Wonder why? If only we could get to the bottom of this inconstancy on protests it might help with what is confusing you.

I saw this weird article about the Rich Kids of Tehran Instagram page, which is like Iranian Dan Bilzerians. They are all covered in tattoos/bikinis... the young Iranian elite... and that protestors are pissed about wealth inequality but how exactly does this fit into the whole Theocracy thing?
