This is interesting and I'm way out of my depth here. You're right that they reference the tax evasion statutes, but only as underlying unlawful activity that they were laundering money to hide. They charged the money laundering but not the tax evasion (which is completely clear from the facts they are alleging). Maybe the tax crimes are barred by the statute of limitations but the money laundering isn't.

This. Trump did not look happy at all when the election results came-in. Yelling Crooked Hillary rigged teh election for four years sure would be alot more fun than having him and his actual unbelievably brazen and corrupt criminal comrades thoroughly investigated.

And add selfish too. The stupid got him within striking distance, it was the awvals who knew he was full of **** but would do anything for a chance at a tax cut that pushed him over the top. Though guess you could argue that type of short-term greed is just a subset of stupidity.
